Why pick on a guy who got fired. Let's look at active coaches. Becky better than:

    Terry Stotts
    Quin Snyder
    DFish
    randy whitman
    Mike malone
    stan van gundy
    McFail
    dave blatt
    Scotty skiles

And, she'll have one of their jobs soon.
Some of those coaches are legitimately solid, actually, and you didn't even name the worst of the worst(Byron Scott)..not surprising coming from you, though..

    yeah

As for the op, as much as I dislike Brooks, I appreciate the fact that he at least doesn't get treated like a dirty rug..it's a huge challenge heading a team with two strong personalities like Alpha and Servant. He wasn't a good x and o guy for sure though.

I highly doubt hammon would command any respect whatsoever without pop. Knowledge wise though she's better than many..

    Monty, Byron, Hollins, shaw etc

People forget that Scott Brooks made one of the great playoff adjustments in recent memory in the 2012 Western Conference Finals.

The Spurs were up 2-0 on OKC and Parker was torching Russell Westbrook.

Then Brooks went unorthodox and put 6'7" Thabo Sefolosha on Parker and the Thunder went on to win Game 3.

Then they won four straight to win the series 4-2.

This year Brooks lost his job.

Easy to kick people when they're down -- and forget the accomplishments.
That wasn't exactly reinventing the wheel though. Stevie Wonder could see that was the matchup to go for, particular with Danny Green and Rookie Kawhi as the other perimeter players in the starting lineup.

As simple of an adjustment as it was, Pop never found an answer. Part of that was Danny choking hard, but it is what it is. That experienced helped build him (and KL) into a vital component of championship level squads.

Brooks isn't terrible. I'd say average NBA coaching material.

As much as we give Brooks the Thunder seemed to get better every year.....after the Finals appearance, they kinda plateaued, but they were definitely the only team capable of beating us during our championship run. We were rolling along nicely by the time we faced them and they still took us to 6, and almost forced a game 7 if it weren't for the clutchness of TD/Kawhi.

Yeah, I remember the TV guys talking about making that happen. Shouldn't Jeff Van Gundy get credit for the move?

Yes, based on talent and athleticism. Not Brooks. I mean, we don't 100% but still...

Becky needs to be a Spurs assistant again this year. Then, the following year, she needs to be the HC of the Austin Spurs for at least a year, if not two. Afterwards, she can move back to being an assistant to the Spurs, before taking over for Pop when he retires.

Sorry folks. She ain't ready. She can take over a WNBA team or a women's college team right now. The NBA is a totally different animal. I bet she becomes the next HC of the Silver Stars before she ever gets an NBA HC gig.

I think Parker should try to find an answer himself. He was in best shape of his life, uninjured. He got closed by a very good defender personally, one on one.

i don't think you can really include quin snyder as one of those. i became a jazz fan this year (and watched 81 games, including a couple with damn good performances against los spurs) and really like what he's done in such a short period of time with such a young group of kids. and i think mike malone might surprise you as well - i've seen/heard good things about him.

I blame it as much equally on Pop. This tends to happen when the Spurs go on those long streaks into the playoffs. Pop.out thinks himself. He is more loose and flowing when the Spurs are trading blows.
