Let's not forget you could kill more people with bombs or poison gas or something than you could with a firearm so people would just do that instead
I believe possessing those are illegal as well.

At least we'll find out what the motive here is, though I doubt it will make any sense at all.

Yeah but banning them does no more good than banning guns, either one is easy to obtain or make

Well guns are so easy to obtain because they have been so easy to obtain for centuries.

And banning the sale and possession of poison gas is a good thing. I'm sure you would have a stockpile of Zyklon B otherwise.

Anyone could make it literally any time they wanted though, the point is that banning guns would only lead to more frequent and more deadly attacks. People who do this type of stuff are generally dumb or doped up by an FBI handler so they usually do the easy thing but by taking away guns you only make them stop and think about it but you don't take away the desire to kill

Would you rather be attacked by someone with a hatchet or someone with a rifle a hundred feet away hiding in the trunk of a Chevy Caprice?

how many people are doing CIA style assassinations from the trunk of a Chevy caprice and how many people could you even kill at once that way before having to flea? Probably less than the guy with the hatchet

For the record, you can kill at least ten people and injure three more that way and not get killed yourself.

Now would you rather be attacked by someone with a hatchet or someone with a rifle a hundred feet away hiding in the trunk of a Chevy Caprice?

Possibly the hatchett but I'm not sure, your best example killed just 10 but I can think of a recent knifing that killed30. Without mobility it would make it hard to get a high kill count. What I'd be most afraid of is taking away guns so that no one can shoot the guy down sand he's either A) the only guy with a gun or B) he instead sets up explosions somewhere really crowded like a mall or sporting event. You wouldn't even have a chance and he could kill hundreds. You wouldn't even get a chance to run.

Well they killed seven more outside the car and the whole spree lasted eight months.

I would rather have someone attack me with a hatchet.

    It's simple.

we can all agree when broken down in a vaccuum like you put it but most people don't plan a mass murder with a knife, if they didn't have the gun they'd just get more creative. and no one would be able to stop them. see i don't lose my rights because of the actions of a tiny minority. we already have gun control laws designed to keep guns out of the hands of those who shouldn't have one. like all laws, they are not obeyed by the lawbreakers. the next logical step for you anti gunners is more draconian measures. that's where we start to disagree.

    I asked you a question.

If you want me to find a mass shooting with more than 30 victims, that's a piece of cake.

Now I am asking you again, would you rather be attacked by someone with a hatchet or someone with a gun?

I never proposed any draconian measures. It's just funny that you guys are trying to say knives are equal to guns. That just isn't true.

that's not what was said at all, there goes your intellectual dishonesty again. we are saying that knives can be used to do these crimes also. as can vehicles, explosives, gases, poisons, etc.

Not sure of the lethality of hatchets, but I'd take getting attacked with a gun over a knife any day. Chances of survival are better.

China and Japan probably have as many mass stabbings a as we do shootings.
