Yes, finally "katching" on...still a prick you are....
I've got the Lakers taking the 6 seed.
Yea i really do miss that rivalry. There are no longer two "elite" teams in the west. I miss the energy that the games against the lakers used to bring. Don't get me wrong that energy was there in the playoffs, but I did not go to a regular season game last year that had the energy that the lakers games used to put off.
Lakers should move to the NBDL
I know I hated it back then, but you have to admit all the trash-talking made it all that juicier.
A classless team from a classless city with a bunch of bandwagon fans that overuse ellipses. They also apparently have absolutely no sense of humor.
28 final appearances...more rings....you can take your class and shove it up your sardonic ass.
Usually my posts have weight and the discussion is full of balanced reasoning. Lately the majority of the "posters" here suck balls.
All I know is I can remember going to the games when the spurs sucked. And as hard as it is to believe the spurs will not always be this good, we to will fall from grace, and there will be a lot of other NBA fans that will be happy to enjoy it.
I Travel a lot and I can tell you that perception is not always that were are classy. It is also that we are arrogant and smug. I don't agree but I do know a lot of other spurs fans that portray that image.
They lakers are not great right now, but that orginization is like the cowboys, they will be back, the owner will do everything he has to, to insure that they will be back. It is arguably the most celebrated basketball franchise, rivaled only by boston, who has lost its luster as of late.
Special K....showing the true class of the spurs fans....if only......
Hey, if this was somewhere else, people talking like you would be banned right now.
I remember a time when all Lakerbandwagon did was talk trash 24/7
That 28 finals appearances is so past tense. It's a what have you done for me lately world, do you hear Boston fan telling us that they have the most les in the L?
They don't because they know that as relevant as it was, it ain't as relevant today...except for history.
But hey, feel free to talk about "your" team. I talk about mine at as many places as I can.
Losers of what????
We are the champions.
Clown.
Book it.
Then go and post at LG.net. Those guys are really knowledgeable.
Lakers are going all the way this year.
Phil is a great coach and a playoffs master, he will push the Lakers to 4-th, 5-th seed and second round exit probably after giving great fight. Kwame will catchup some defense, and he and Kobe will anchor their defense well. McKey is not that good PG, but triangle offense is not demanding for PG's, and maybe their last year pick can help them. Odom is a border line all-star and a very versatile player. Kobe is a legit NBA star. Mihm in not bad center either. And they have a couple of good players in the bench.
Medvedenko, your team might have had a chance getting back to the playoffs this year, but now since you brought back Philiph, you screwed yourselves. Godd luck with all that!
The Lakers this year will make the playoffs, barring any injuries. But I'm thinking theyll be beat by a tough San Antonio/Houston team in the first round.
That's if you don't get banned before!![]()
Smeagol....the spurs are the winners....some of the "fans" are the losers....losers at life.Losers of what????
We are the champions.
Clown.
I consider the Spurs franchise accomplishments in many ways to be far, far greater than the Lakers’. The Spurs have amassed the best record in the NBA, in sports even, since 1997. They have been a consistently winning franchise since the late 80s. They have been a top le contender for seven years and won three les in those years. They’re a favorite to win again this year and look to be a top, if not the top, contender for the next three or four years. This is all coming from a small market franchise, an achievement unmatched in the modern basketball era.
You say, “sure but the Spurs were lucky. They got first Robinson and then Duncan in the draft.” Well a few other teams had franchise players. The Knicks had Ewing, the Bucks had Alcindor/Jabbar, the Magic had Shaq to mention a few. So what happened to them? Well as we know a couple of them had their franchise player poached by LA. The Spurs were able to retain their franchise players, no mean feat in view of needing to rebuild on the fly. No mean feat when you witness the Carters, Hills, and TMac. In fact the current Laker brain trust is counting on the LA sun and starlets of LA to allow them to poach someone else in ’07. Not sure I can give them a whole lot of credit for much of their “glory” for this. That’s why I’m not as impressed with the Lakers’ achievements and, as a franchise, feel the Spurs accomplishments are more impressive.
Thank God the Lakers don’t have the brains of Pop and RC to go with the sun and the beach and those horny starlets and the opportunity to film Kazam II.
Very well put...and if my intention was to diminish the Spur's org. than I don't know ball. The spurs are very successful and their records and rings show it. Maybe at one point in time and history they will be referenced in the same breath as the Celtics and Lakers. At this time, I can't see it...small market or not. Yes, having a team in LA holds some promise, but remember how many teams are in California....what about the Clips, Golden States of the L...never won . RC et al are great at what they do, I realize that. They are light years ahead of Mitch Cupkake and even rival Jerry West.
I seriously think the Lakers should change their name to "Quakes". After all that's what Los Angeles is more famous for.
Yeah, The LA Quakes.
They should lose the Minnesota nickname.
Where'd they get the name "Lakers" from anyway? I've always wondered.
Wait, someone told me... But I can't remember.
