The Omen (Damien II) was my fav with Marilyn Manson...
I loved all three but I think I love Part 1 the most. "The snake, the rat, the cat, the dog. How you gon see em if you living in the fog?"

X - "Now I'm ready to chill but you still wan't me to kill."
Damien - "Look at what I did for you dog, come on keep it real."
X - "Aight, it Ima do it, who is it this time?"
Damien - "Ayo remember that kid Shawn you used to be with in 89?"
    X - "Nah, that's my man!"
Damien - "I thought I was your man?!"
    X- "But yo that's my !"
Damien - "Hey, who's your biggest fan? Either do it or give me your right hand that's what you said."
X - "I see now ain't nothing but trouble ahead..."

Not to on your thread, but those are terrible choices for the GOAT. Where's KRS-1, Gangstarr, Mos Def, Wu-Tang, Nas, Big Pun, 2Pac, Notorious BIG ..? DMX refused to sell out so he dropped out of the game btw. That crack cocaine bs was a spin job. Jay Z, Ja Rule and Sisqo? Maaaaan...

I'll give the OP partial credit on that front. The 90's in general were the best decade for pop culture in general.

Bruh, I'm pretty sure Unleash the Dragon went 5x Platinum. Sisqo was a beast in the Early 2000s.
Unleash the Dragon was great in its own right, with the masses in general obssessed with The Thong Song.

He was a rapper? What else is to explain. I mean if you like listening to a guy whose voice sounds like he has smoked a pack of cigs everyday since he was 10 cool. Not really my cup of tea though. Don't even bring up his commercial success as "proof" either. If were gonna play that game Will Smith has one of the best selling rap albums of all time.

The 30 Million records he sold disagrees with you.

Didn't I tell you not to use the records sold arguement? By that standard Will Smith is one of the best rappers of all time since Big Willy Style was one of the best selling albums of all time, that went 9x platnium. Your 30 million is way off base btw, should probably do some research before pulling randoms numbers out of your ass. Ja has sold roughly around 14 million albums world wide.

Can some of you mother ers read?! I'm talking about the late 90s to Early 2000s. If you want to make the argument that an earlier time period was the GOAT then you can list those names (Wu Tang, Big Pun, Notorious Big, Pac). Why would I be naming Pac and Big in this time period when they were already dead?! Jesus Christ some of you mother ers are illiterates. Read the ing thread le and come with a better argument.

PS - Ja Rule sold 30 million ing records. Sisqo's Unleash the Dragon went 5x Platinum. DMX was able to drop two Number one albums in 98 (It's Dark and is Hot. Flesh of my Flesh, Blood of my Blood). So yes for the time period I'm speaking of those cats were running the game. How stupid for you to bring up 50 cent in this time period when dude was fairly unknown at that point . Curtis Jackson was probably watching Ja Rule on TV and feeling extremely jealous and hateful. And besides that in early 2000 50 was shot 9 times, which means he was probably in a hospital bed somewhere recovering from the gunshots while Ja and Murder Inc began to strengthen their brand. But yeah get upset that I didn't bring him up in a convo about the late 90s to Early 2000s. Stupid illiterate mother ers

Bro, how can you tell me what argument I can and cannot use? It's fine if you don't like Ja, but it's straight up dishonest to say that man and Murder Inc didn't make classics for quite some time. And I got my info from Def Jam's official website. "During the 2000s, Ja Rule was signed to The Inc Records, which was formerly known as Murder Inc. and was led by Irv Gotti. Ja Rule has sold over 30 Million records worldwide and was the best selling rapper in 2001." http://www.defjam.com/artists/ja-rule/

Of course defjams site is going to boost his numbers . I just said if you are going to use the record arguement you are also admitting a bunch of ty rappers/artist are really good.

DMX was solid but aside from Eminen and a couple other that was a pretty meh period for rap, 89-96 were the best years imo, gotta little better in the mid 00s but went complete again since then
Nah man, 87-96 was the prime of hip hop. Look at all these incredible albums from 87 and 88:
    Paid in Full
    Follow the Leader
    Strictly Business
    Critical Beatdown
    Yo! Bum Rush the Show
It Takes a Nation of Millions
    Straight Outta Compton
    Eazy Duz It
    Rhyme Pays
    Power
    Born to Mack
    Life is Too Short
    Criminal Minded
    By All Means Necessary
The Great Adventures of Slick Rick

Good call on 1996 being the end of the hiphop's prime though. Go google best hiphop albums of 1996 and you see so much incredible like Soul On Ice, Makaveli, All Eyes On Me, Dr Octagon, ATLiens, Illadelph Halflife, Beats Rhymes and Life, The Resurrection, Reasonable Doubt. Then go google it for 1997 and it's a bunch of ing Mase, Puff Daddy, Master P.

Yep, No Limit took over - even signed Snoop for a minute. Then we had the Cash Money bull and it all went downhill real fast.

I used to like some of No Limit's back in the 90s, but damn all their music has aged horribly while Eric B & Rakim, BDP, NWA, Ice T, Public Enemy, Ultramagnetic all still sound incredible when I listen to their albums.

The only really hardcore from the south in that era other than Geto Boys that holds up well is Street Military. ing Pharoah was such an underrated rapper, dumbass had to get himself thrown in the pen.
