Based on hater's history of predictions, the Spurs should tank to get Memphis in the 1st round, at all costs, tbh..

Memphis has never been a serious threat, tbh..they're a product of nostalgia from older fans and media that yearn for the days of hideous, "physical" 90s basketball with goons and "legitimate Cs", rather than 3-point shooting and small-ball..
Lmao. Going balls deep in hater.

    Matt Barnes and FTG.

I would love to see Kawhi matched up against Barnes again. He is due for some revenge.

    Blake Griffin, defensive specialist
Idiot, the Warriors flustered MVP Dirk by doubling him every time he caught the ball.

Just like he did in most of the playoffs
“People are starting to double-team him now,” Popovich said.

L.A. coach Doc Rivers sent a double-team at Leonard almost every time he touched the ball on the block.

“He didn’t have a great night, but he tried. He competed,” Popovich said. “Their double-teams on him really hurt him.”

That all depends on whether Matt Barnes will show up to the arena since he will no longer be getting help from Blake.

Every other word you type is "butt, got, kwack"....I'm assuming Kawhi turned down your offer to butt him & you are butt hurt b/c of it. Just let it go & get a life fam.

We have OWNED Memphis's asses since Tony Allen shot his mouth off about Manu not really being hurt after they won in 2011. I see NO REASON that should not continue. There's no place to hide ZBo on defense any more. He'll have to take on either Duncan or LMA backin' dat azz down in the post, and shooting right over the top of him. Once they double (they'll have to) it's over.

It would also help if we replaced Zbo with a stretch four... love the guy but it's time to put him to pasture... would improve the D and the offense would have a much higher ceiling. Tony Allen needs to go too.
I love to watch guys who are as tough as Allen on defense, but in the playoffs you can't hide those guys offensively. They kill your offense. Not just perimeter players who can't shoot, bigs who can't score are trouble too. I think Grizz problems against GSW was no perimeter threats which messes spacing and forces your big guys to deal with double teams every time. Used to be you could not double anyone in the Spurs or you do it at your own risk. This season the backcourt is very concerning TBH I agree with that. Those saying Parker and Manu are inconsequential and should step aside are some pesky player fans of Kawhi who think he is the second coming of LeBron, which he is not obviously.

Grizz would need a legit playmaking/scoring threat at SG to compete with the Spurs. Jeff Green can't be our best wing player but he can be serviceable. His back was messed up pretty bad during the playoffs last year.

Having said that... Parker looks terrible and who knows how effective Manu will be. Backcourt depth is a real issue for the Spurs this year.
Fourth wing is a bigger question than back court depth, but even with the addition of Aldridge and Leonard's continued ascent, they still need at least one of Parker or Ginobili to play well to have a legit chance to win it all.

People always miss the boat on the Grizzlies. Their biggest issue has always been the lack of a superstar. Gasol is an excellent complimentary type, in the mold of Divac or post prime Sabonis and even in Randolph's prime, he was never good enough to be a go-to scorer for a championship team.

They're clearly the worst of the six playoff locks in the West and the only one of the bunch that can't conceivably represent the conference in the Finals.

Still a better playmaker than beta system role player
Not every star small forward is Lebron James, who dominates the ball and yes, gets 8 assists a game. But do you really expect any other small forward to be a playmaker?

They gave Manu a flagrant for that, which gave Allen two free throws and the ball when the Grizzlies were down 4 with like 10 seconds left in game 2 WCF 2013. He made both, Grizz scored, and they went to overtime. Crowd chanted "BULL !" on the free throws and the entire break between regulation and OT, because that was literally the worst call ever. Spurs have been consistently hosed by the referees since 2001. Spurs kicked their asses in OT, though.

The grizz are the team to be afraid of next season. We need to avoid them in the playoffs at all costs.

Not only do they have a strong PG that we have no answer for, a hungry and rested Gasol who will be putting a hurting they also have Matt Barnes.

They would kill us in a playoff series.
Getting way out ahead of yourself here.

Lol never said Memphis is a threat to win the West but they most definitely match up very well with us now. Their big 2,can most definitely hold their own vs Duncan Lmalpha lineup.

I actually think we gonna smoke most teams due to our big 2. They gonna be tough.

But grizz are one of few teams that can match up. That plus they have Matt Barnes.

Add Conley to the equation and this team is scary

Thought Manu retired. He's back? He has nothing left.

Simmwho? He wont see any playoff minutes. That leaves diae, west and hopefully a decent patty to hold the fort.

Matt Barnes will turn 50 before the playoffs start. Not worried.
