Maybe if this learns how to pass to LMA
Won't happen.
He had 7 steals and scored 26 points in only 24 minutes last season against GSW.
Anyway, it'd hard for Kawhi, or any player in the league, get a triple-double if he plays less than 25 minutes when he's balling.
Not close, but he played great in those games, 26 points 10 rebs 4 asts 60 FG% 33 minutes against Sixers without the Big 3.
I wonder how would look his numbers if Kawhi would have played 40 or more minutes in his best games of the season. But I don't really care, wins and rings over stats all day.

He's a good passer but not a particularly gifted one if you get what I am saying, and I don't mean that as an insult. Batum has gotten triple doubles in his career, when he was about Kawhi's age. Kawhi is a better player than Batum, but he's just not that gifted passing. Diaw also had triple doubles in his career in Phoenix at around Kawhi's age more or less and was very close to getting one in the 2014 finals. TD still at his age and lower usage got a triple double just last year. Those guys came into the league already as gifted passers and playmaking forwards. Batum and Diaw are probably looking more to pass than to take their own shots most of the time quite honestly, and TD has always enjoyed setting others up for shots and famously wanted Pop to allow him to play PG. Kawhi did not have that type of game coming into the league. He's improved his ballhandling and court vision a whole lot, but my point was that not even in high usage games against weak teams as the focus for the offense, did he come close to 10 assists. That doesn't equal me bashing him as a player. I'm not even sure I want Kawhi looking to pad assists stats TBH bc playing LeBron style is not his game. This is fanboy topic by the OP.
He'll average a quintuple double until they raise the foul limit to 10 (at which point he will average a sextuple double).
Obviously there are better passers in the league, I just said he played great in those games and his numbers could look better with more minutes.
Batum had his first triple double in 2013 when he was 24 years old (Kawhi's age last season=23 years old)... and the Spurs fans know how he got some of his triple doubles...casually stupid 3-pointer "the worst thing I've done in my career"Batum and Diaw are probably looking more to pass than to take their own shots most of the time quite honestly
But agree with you, he's versatile and Boris is an amazing playmaker.
After years of Pop saying Kawhi shouldn't defer, I expect he'll look for his own shot, if shooting-more-than-passing will affect his stats...we'll see..he isn't a finished product yet.
Don't be so defensive girl, I never said you did it.I don't mean that as an insult...That doesn't equal me bashing him as a player
