Is there any actual basketball talk on here or just a bunch o pseudo psychologists circle jerking their own ignorance. Jesus Christ.
Was this really necessary?

Pretty touchy considering it's not a made up link and an actual article. I'm not trying to stir the pot, just taking the article at face value and wanted to bring it up for discussion.
Spurs looked like a rebuilding team in the first preseason game without Pop, Duncan, Manu, Parker. It's going to take sometime for Aldridge and West to adjust, but not having Pop, Duncan, Manu, Parker out there pretty much half the team it's not a good indicator of this team at all. When everyone is in the lineup, this is going to be a tough opponent.
Yep. Been saying it since the rumours were out there - I don't like LaMarcus' style or how he plays, and I think he's currently the leader of star players who don't get it done when it counts (the postseason).
I guess you can't turn down a marque star wanting to play for you though - and the Spurs needed to sign someone for when Duncan retires.
Can't tell if people or trolling or what...
Dude didn't complain aboutHe admitted he just wasn't making shots, and said that he didn't think teammates were overlooking him. Also got pointed out that he's almost been too selfless so far, and that others (Pop and Green) have said he needs to be more selfish and just play how he usually would. He's already been trying to adjust to the team by making extra passes that he might not have made in Portland, so much so that it's almost to a fault.
Having a hard time seeing how anyone could seriously get a "diva" vibe from the quotes in this article.
Article is thread worthy- absolutely. I think the commenters in this thread, and the community in general are a bit too eager to make this team into a soap opera. We've added an arguable top 10 player to our team that's been fairly consistent for over 10 years now. Of course touches are going to be discussed. It's a ing given.
Gotta disagree with this. He's never been in a real system before so postseason success doesn't really apply here. I seem to recall that he's kicked ass on an individual level in the PO, he just never had a great supporting cast and a system that maximized the open shots.
Agreed.
Kawhifans didn't even read the article. He's trying to be more of a distributer and the spurs are pushing him to be more selfish.
One pre season game has been played. You guys are idiots.
2014+15 Playoffs: .483 TS% (horrible), .073 WS/48, -2.0 BPM.
Those numbers aren't all that dazzling for him in the Regular Season either, but they are a clear drop-off and I don't think he has kicked ass on an individual level (outside of a few games where T. Jones was defending him and he got hot).
I don't care about wins and losses. I just don't think Aldridge is a good Playoff performer yet, which worries me.
There is a lot of trolling on the forum, just take things depending on who posts them. Basically anybody who dares take a significant offensive role in the starting unit is subject to attack from a certain Kawhi-fan-crew. lolI feel sorry for Kawhi, because with their trolling these guys just generate negative attention for their favorite player.
I also thought Aldridge was quite humble. He wasn't dominating the ball, except for a few minutes where Messina went to him in a few consecutive possessions, and it was by design. He just didn't make shots. He tried to set others up, there were a few miscues with Danny and Kawhi. A TO he had was that he intended to pass to Kawhi and as they made eye contact, Kawhi cut hard to the basket. Aldridge didn't know Kawhi was going to do that upon their making eye contact, and he threw away the ball to the spot where Kawhi had been. Another fumbled pass was him getting double-teamed and passing to Danny on the move. It was a bad pass, kind of wild, since LMA was off balance, but Danny also didn't expect it at all, and almost turned it over, having to end up forcing up a shot. LMA took only 10 shots but didn't feel overlooked and had 8 points, yet was concerned with fitting in. Those are good signs to me.
One other thing, I noticed him cheering the bench unit, specially Boban. Didn't seem like an egotistical guy to me, when despite his bad playing night he was cheering teammates who were still playing.
we called it SC. Smh.
Kawhi fans the new Kobe fans. Ugh.
They've even blamed the coach for Kawhi/Kobe's shortcomings, and completely discard the big man who carries them
If he hits his shots, he will get more. Pretty simple. If he doesn't, he's a bust. I'd like to see quotes from him about championships instead of Mvps.
What the is a premadonna? Is that the opening act for Madonna? I think you mean prima donna, idiot. You uneducated pieces of foreign gook really up the English language, now you're ing up Italian. Stick to slinging waffles and buying sneakers.
LMA should talk about how is game was weak and that he stifled all ball movement......
I think LMA is a girl, but this is taken out of context. He was talking about aggressiveness, how he came in less aggressive than pop wanted him. He stated that he was trying to become more aggressive with scoring and taking shots.
He averaged 20 shots a game for the past 2 years. He got 10 the other night. To me, he stated that his teammates were giving him enough looks, and that if he was hitting he would be fed more. Common sense really... Nothing to see here.
The spurs are lucky to have a coach who is reticent , an all time great who never speaks, and a new star with some autism spectrum thing.
They interpret introvertedness as a basketball skill. So when a player with ordinary people skills comes along they freak out. Of course lma sounds like a women. Most of you posters freak out with women too.
Let the man play. His record suggests he's gonna work fine. His words are just words. Yes lma could be a baby, yes Parker is a , but as basketball players they had their role to play and that's all we should care about.
