I doubt he gets burned out playing 20 mpg, tbh.
This. He's playing very good, we want this Manu in playoffs.

He's had his moments of dominance and team dependency, off and on, for a long time. Game 5 of 2014 Finals. He went for 28 points last November, as I recall.

    But, really...

    "He's Manu Ginobili."

This thread isn't about how dominant Manu is or how well he's playin
It's about how much he is contributing to the Spurs wins in this regular season.
We will begin dropping some games if we lose Manu this year IMO to a greater degree than most recent years.

We're screwed record wise if he goes down.

It's about team dependency on Manu. If Manu were to go down, the team would definitely suffer.

I think more than anything, MANU is just enjoying it this season. He kinda knows that this might be the last ride. Being a big MANU fan, it is great to see him playing at this level and contributing with such limited minutes.

    MANU =

Im also biased since I'm one of the younger fans but 4 is also always greater than 2.
Robinson was one of the games greats. Not just Spurs greats, but games greats. Don't take me wrong as Manu has had a pretty storied career inside and outside the NBA, but as an individual player he wasn't even remotely in the same stratosphere as Robinson. Robinson was an MVP, defensive player of the year, rookie of the year, and had seasons where he lead the league scoring, blocks, and rebounds. He was a standout big man in an era of great bigs. And a prime Robinson in this era would have been an absolute monster.

Last year. Without Manu, the Spurs would have been not gotten another 50 game winning season. He carried the team along with Green and Duncan while KL, TP, Splitter, Mills and Beli were all out with injuries. Gave the Spurs a chance to almost clinch the #2 seed as well.

As long a the minutes are low, I'm fine with it..Though, yeas it does feel like he's exerting too much energy in being the dinamo of the second unit that comes in each time to narrow a SL-ac ulated deficit or blow open a tight game..Yesterday he was even hustling for OFF boards (4 total) , not to mention his D has been quite pestering for his age...Hopefully the starters gel together soon to ease some of the pressure pinned on the bench ..but this is just Manu feeling healthy and going at it like the compe ive demon he is..

I have to agree ppl seem to forget Duncan and Evita carried the spurs throughout last season. Remember kawhi was injured and parker was struggling a bit.

Duncan and Manu got burnt out. Thus season Duncan is getting his rest. But Manu not so much. He most likely will be burnt out mid january

Manu is my favorite athlete ever but I still think u gotta put D-Rob behind Timmy. Although, the gap between him and Manu would be quite small.

Obviously Kawhi is rising quick and we'll see how far up he gets on that list.
The gap isn't small. David Robinson is one of the greatest basketball players ever. As dominant as Kawhi on defense and a better scorer than anyone but maybe prime Duncan. Led the Spurs in five statistical categories. Also was MVP, scoring champ, dpoy, rebounding champ.

Start Robinson's Spurs career in 2003 (in place of Manu) and we likely win 7 or 8 les in the 2000s. He was that good.

    Regular season

    I'm thinking 2008 or so

He's being asked to do too much tbh. Like Manu he's answering the call but history shows this can be bad with him burning out or getting injured.
He's playing 20 minutes a game. That is not being asked to do too much.

Ur right. I guess I too let my player bias effect my judgement.
