Tony Parker shot attempts per game/FG%/PPG:

    '12-'13: 15.1 FGA/52.2%/20.3ppg
    '13-'14: 13.4 FGA/49.9%/16.7ppg
    '14-'15: 12.2 FGA/48.6%/14.4ppg
    '15-'16: 9.5 FGA/54.8%/ 12.8ppg

Parker is taking fewer shots than ever & hitting them at a much more efficient rate. He's deferring to Kawhi & LMA, as he should. He's doing exactly what he's supposed to be doing. Anyone who can't see this is just being stubborn.

You take that away and you take away their shtick. They've been doing it for months, maybe even years, and they're very defensive about it. Take that away and there's a chance they don't actually have any personality or things to discuss. Anyone who actually watches the games knows Parker is taking the backseat, and is happy to do so.

    - He has to shutdown big time scores and then score on the other end ad well.

    - TD, KG, Orlando dwight, lebron and PG13 in 2012 are the only other players that i can think off that had that much responsibility.

    - Tony Parker has a lot on his plate too, but it's moslty during dinner and lunch time.

So Glad we have a top 5 player in the league and an MVP candidate.
You must be exhausted watching him do all that work!

Would like to see Tony become a more confident shooter, but I think he's working out well on offense. His defense is too streaky, though, and that needs to change since he doesn't have the excuse of having to carry the other end now. Same issue with Green. Danny should be striving to be Bowen 2.0. He should be 100-percent focused on defense at this point.

The problem is the Spurs are low in depth at the small guard position; Tony knows the system well and can drive, Patty can shoot and pass well. Neither are good at defense. Danny is already trying for his best defense, so that's good. Mental lapses aside, he tends to start off cold and get into the groove as the season goes on. I expect good things from him.

Parker used to be a good defender. He wasn't even bad during the 2014 playoffs. I don't believe he's too old to do it. Ginobili can defend pretty well for his age. Tony doesn't have the speed to guard elite PGs, but it's a matter of will to match up against opposing twos or threes. He just needs to stick his nose in and do it.

Green isn't locked in right now. He isn't great at defending off-ball guys. He's not good at going around screens, and he loses focus and tries to help if he doesn't respect the offense of his man. It would make sense to make Danny the designated defender and allow Kawhi to play off the ball. Danny needs the discipline to get back into form, and Kawhi needs someone to lighten his load.

Yeah, I agree. I don't mind Green's attempts going down and those extra shots going to Kawhi & LMA at all. His 3PT% is down so far, but that doesn't worry me. He'll hit a hot streak and be back around 38-40% by the all star break... last season, after the first 7 games, Danny was 10-36 from three for 27.7%. This year, after 10 games he's shooting 30% 3ptFG%...
