that clown needs to spend less time on here and more time cleaning his dirty ass house.
Agree with you on Tony at present. Good to see him playing well. Also agree the hate on here is ridiculous.
Imho, he's a lock for the hall of fame. 4 time All-NBA, 6 time All Star, 4 time champ (and counting), FMVP, part of the winning most trio of all time, and now has a very strong international resume as well. He'll be in.

With Ray apparently being a bust, our backcourt is quite thin and old, placing us at real risk. Tony's health and game are absolute keys to our success this season.
The resume you cite is certainly impressive. I agree he has the MACRO credentials for the HoF, but I am not sure his MICRO credentials are good enough. I think HoF voters look more at the traditional stats like PPG, APG, RPG. I doubt Tony will impress enough voters with those stats to get in. Be interesting to see if there ever has been a player with a combination of MACRO and MICRO credentials remotely comparable to Tony's that made it to the HoF.
bbref projections have him at about 94% odds, right now.
Don't know bbref or it's reliability, but that's interesting. I'd call that a shoo-in!
I'd say Tony would be a strong candidate based only on his NBA resume. Indeed the "stats" part (what you call micro) is somewhat lacking, but he's part of an incredible dynasty and a big 3 that will be a benchmark for ages. Only 2 former FMVPs aren't in the hall, and there's little reason to think that Tony wouldn't make it just on the strength of his NBA resume alone.
When you add that he's the best French player by far, first foreign-born FMVP + his international resume (Eurobasket MVP and all-time scoring leader), he's a clear lock for the HoF.
Right now the discussion is more about how many rounds it will take him to get voted in, not whether he makes it at all.
Are we talking about the NBA HoF? Foreign credentials wouldn't count. But, as exstatic points out, bbref has Tony's odds at 94%. That seems like a first ballot candidate to me.
Hope you find your missing chromosomes.
We would if it existed. But there's only one HoF, the basketball HoF, and it includes NBA, college, international, women...
I'm unsure about first ballot because you can be sure some pundits will say "would he be a HoF candidate if he was American?", "how much did he benefit from playing alongside Duncan and Manu while being coached by Pop?" and so on. While some others will say "is Parker the most underrated PG of all time?", etc. So I'm expecting 2nd or 3rd ballot.
I'd argue that his success in the MACRO shows he's getting the recognition needed to make it. We'll see.
The laugh's on me! Don't really keep up with HoF (obviously)! Seems weird that there isn't a NBA hall of fame. Can you imagine a combined Football HoF?
Basketball is clearly the most international of the 4 major sports in the US (well, maybe hockey, but basketball is more "major"), and the ABA/NBA took a long time to get where they are now.
I'd say Hockey is #1, Basketball #2, but your point is well taken. But my perspective is a little skewed. I grew up watching Russell, Chamberlain, Oscar, West et al, thinking the NBA was well-established.
Add to that the All-Time leading scoring PG in playoff history and being the winningest player through 1,000 games in NBA history...no questions he's a HOF lock.
But what about the MICRO NBA Hall of Fame?
It's been a true joy watching the player fans scurry around looking for negatives this season. The Spurs are winning, Kawhi is leading the team in FGA, Parker's FGA are way down & his FG% & PER are both way up, but the critics are still unhappy. There were threads at the beginning of the season saying Parker would shoot 42-45% from the field this season based on his pre-season and euro play. It just kills the player fans to say one of the players on their own favorite team is adjusting as he gets older, deferring to a younger player who has emerged as the #1 option. As a real fan of the Spurs, this makes me nothing but happy... Parker: 57.4 FG%, Kawhi: 22 PPG, 52.2 FG%.
Also "appeared in more playoff games before his 24th birthday than any player in NBA history (a total of 77 … Kobe Bryant is second on the list seeing action in 66 postseason games before his 24th birthday)"
Agreed, seems like Kawhi and Parker are clicking really well on the court this season. They had a few plays last night where they were playing really well off each other, which obviously doesn't fit the narrative that Parker hates Kawhi. Last night Parker literally missed one FGA and the player fans were still trying to find a way to spin it that he played horrible.
"T.P. has just been doing a good job and my other teammates, but starting with T.P., of getting his rhythm going and when the defense collapses on him, he's just finding us out there and getting us wide-open shots," Leonard said. "It just gets you in a rhythm."
Leonard is still getting it done on the defensive end, too, creating opportunities for the Spurs with five blocked shots and four steals in addition to six assists, matching a career high.
"He was great," Parker said. "He is playing well and playing under control. He is shooting the ball well and he is playing at both ends. Both defensively and offensively, he is playing great so far."

The Parker of the past few weeks, really the entire season but especially more so recently, has been great. Playing better defense, he's been efficient, he has limited the dribble offense and he has passed well. Only criticisms is that he occasionally missed a Kawhi or LMA mismatch (but that isn't limited to him) and when he's shooting really well I don't mind if he's a bit more aggressive.
Really though if the Parker of the past few weeks is the Parker we get the entire season then the Spurs will be in good shape. Really if we're looking at issues with the SL offense I think Parker and Kawhi are the only 2 that are actually playing well offensively, especially the past few games they have carried the team.
Parker is shooting 57.4% on the season now![]()
Actually looking at the numbers, Parker is the only non-big in the top 10 and the next guard is Lamb at #18

Dennis Johnson is in. There is no way Parker does not get into HOF.
