I have never seen a guard that is easier to set a pick on than Tony. He always gets tangled up with the picker and then blames the switch man for any repercussions. Tony seems to want to get picked off his man.

Take out Ish Smith and put in the Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley.

Take out Ryan Anderson and put in Jae Crowder.

Continue to shake your head in disbelief.

Crowder wasn't playing stretch 4, he was guarding Kawhi. Amir Johnson was playing the 4 but Pop refused to trap & dare him to shoot in the 4th quarter.

Can anyone explain to me why the Spurs are absolutely horrid this season guarding any sort of quick PG?

This season? Our ability to guard quick PGs went south as soon as Bruce fell off. Danny could do it now, but for whatever reason in the RS Pop usually elects to let the opposing PG torch Tony/Patty for the 1st quarter, then puts Danny on him when the guy is already in a rhythm.

Bruce didn't guard Paul in the playoffs well IIRC...

I thought it was like this: when Pop switched Parker on to Paul and Bruce on to Stojakovic, that's when the Spurs finally gained the edge.

The only person who's ever been able to guard Chris Paul well has been Chris Paul, tbh...
