I disagree. I've tangled with both and it's easier to strike and move with a javelina than a mountain lion. Mountain lions are so quick that you might never get out from the tussle. All claws and teeth.
I'd rather run into a California mountain lion than a javelina that's for sure.. Pigs are way more territorial vs mountain lions which didn't show any interest in us out walking the trails in Cali

So you got your ass Beats by a cougar?
I had an uncle a long ass time ago that got charged by a 400 pound (It was probably smaller...the number grows every time he tells the story) hog. His only way of escaping was to climb a nearby tree.He sat in that tree for 2 hours till the hog went away.
BTW...he tells this story every year. And I'm sure he'll tell it again at X-Mas.
Well , if you were charged by a 500 lb hog and lived wouldn't you wanna tell people about it?
little man ya just don't get it.... it was 600lbs and it ran a 9.9 100.......ok?
sheesh~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I don't go in the woods without my rifle....just in case. Wild Hogs & Black Bears are pretty rare....but you never know.
I'm standing my ground and fighting...no tree climbing for S&B.

Take the fight to these ing hogs, em.
675 lbs of twisted railroad steel, ok? And it was black. Are you really this dumb? Sheesh. Ok?? Little guy?
No. I came out on top. But much worse for wear than any of the tangled I've had with Javelinas. Beats rule. One day when you save up enough, you should buy a pair and then you'll get it.

I'd be much more worried about the hogs, every time I have been near a black bear the ran off as soon as he saw me. Black bears are scared as of people.
and the winner is
