uhhh...latest projections show 140mph hour winds in 72 hours and the track shifting back east for possible Houston/Galveston again...
Don't be stupid: evacuate your ass ASAP
Throw a hurricanes and margaritas party
Stay there and die. I am GiG. I am insecure and take the internet way too seriously.
Gotta stay. Can't loot if you evacuate.
Heh. I guess we really shouldn't worry. Where Spurs_Fan_In_Exile and I live doesn't even rate on the evac map.
In all seriousness, downtown has a real tendency to flood. Ask your neighbors if they flooded during Allison, and go from there. I'm worried about winds and tornadoes more than anything else, but you'll be locked into your area, so make sure you're set on food and drink.

You're good to go, friend.
might want to cook the chicken on Friday before you lose power...
or make sure to get a lot of matches and charcoal.....and a grill, of course.
And I'd highly recommend a chemical toilet.![]()
You forgot to pack your Blackberry and iPod Nano.
I have neither a blackberry or an ipod nano.
BTW: that is all the food and drinks in my place. Bachelor life.![]()
They are expecting Cat. 3 to hit land Saturday.
You have no Chef Boyardee Ravioli in a can. How can you call yourself a bachelor????
Is Houston just going to flood? Go ahead and get out of there. But don't spread the evacuation word.... there are a few people I hope don't make it to the rooftop before the waters come![]()
Wow that was mean. God knows why... he'll forgive me![]()
Good luck man!

I've heard Corpus Christi-Houston, they don't really know.
2pac...stay, get your 2000.00 debit card and go get some brew, smoke, lap dances and Louis Vuitton bags at the expense of the Govt!
Remember that 2 Live Crew Song?
"Get the BEEP out"
I havent had that stuff since I was like 7.
I forgot to look in the freezer. I have two boxes of taquitos too.
I keep canned beans, corn and some rice. Water ... and lot of ammo.
But I don't like the Chef stuff.. they just put lot of MSG in it. lol freezer? Get dry goods .... Stuff that lasts a while and needs no chilling or heating. Also AM radio
with extra batteries.. police scanner.. ..laser for gun... uh... night vision.. (being silly)..
Vbookie on whether or not he survives?
Just kidding, that would be pretty bad.
That ridge is holding...you should get rain and some tropical storm type winds but you should be OK...someone down the coast is gonna catch holy though...
What kinda money would yall put together for me to surf in this?
Yall put together enough, and I will get you all a nice autographed pic of me surfing Rita.![]()
I used to hurricane surf...wear a life vest and use a heavy surf leash...the break is so far out at Freeport that the 8' stuff kicks your ass before you get there and the rips are nasty...lose your board and you could be dead meat.
Tom, are you really thinking of riding it out if it comes in?
I live in Pasadena/Houston. not far from Galveston or the Ship Channel.
looks like *I* might be an evacuee soon
though I hope not
I've done it for years, but not directly in a hurricane. I did it for Katrina - we had nice clean surf. From what my boys in surfside said, its gonna be bad surf - not real surfable, but people will be out anyway.
Man, as much as I want to see a 'cane, I wouldn't stick around for a cat 4 or 5. If I felt comfortable in my home, I might stick around for a cat 3. I'll probably end up chasing a cat 2 or cat 1 in the not too distant future.
