Who cares (unless you have tix)? Meaningless game against fodder. We'll still blow them out and it will give Boban and West more minutes. TP is not playing so not sure what you mean about chemistry. And, they've looked pretty good lately. Just saying...

Also wonder if Pop will start Ray instead of Patty this time around. Patty struggled to get it going with the starting unit last game
I have tickets to tonights game. A little disappointed that Aldridge/Parker won't play, but more disappointed that Favors, Burke, Exum, and Gobert are out. That Jazz team, if healthy, is definitely a playoff team. What is left after those injuries is a mediocre 10 or 11th best team in the west. That said, I always enjoy beating Utah regardless of who's in thier lineup, so it's go Spurs go.
i'm not against the resting thing, and if Pop scheduled this game to give sombody one, i would rather give it to TD..he just acts like LMA is seasoned guy in our system who have already absorbed all the ropes/wrinkles...In fact, as somebody who falls under the "young legs" crew in our team, he should get used to more minutes with our best player Kawhi..their 1-2 game is something that will need not only in the future but later this season when the schedules gets tricky and we hit the road more..Dude is averaging 29 MPG, that's like 37 yo TD..even "big picture Pop" gets silly with this stuff..

Pop isn't comfortable playing Boban against quality teams thus he probably wants to give him an extended run. He's also resting Tony to give Simmons more reps; Kyle is probably the odd man out. LMA has been playing well so going up 2nd/3rd string bigs isn't more compe ive than going up against West/Diaw/Boban in practice.
This likely will be a complete blowout. With LMA not playing, the offense will be humming!
LMA tends to stifle the fluidity of the offense by his mere presence. He doesn't even have to touch the ball to gum up the works.
Will we see Duncan/Diaw as starters or Duncan/West?

Without ballstoppers LMA and Tony we should get a lot of assisted baskets in this one?

I expect to see a lot more motion. Oh.... Anderson likely to also play. Will be interest to take note of the lineups.
My favorite lineup is one with both Diaw and Boban paired with Leonard, Manu, Simmons or Patty.
Starters likely will be Patty, Green, Leonard, West, Duncan. Which is kind of awkward due to the lack of passing on the team.
Maybe Manu, Green, Leonard, West, Duncan. and 2nd team Patty, Simmons, Anderson, Diaw, Boban.
I agree, this is ridiculous and unnecessary. Sure, they should still win, but there's no need to increase the odds of dropping a game they shouldn't.
If he wants to play this game, do it in games that will be difficult to win to begin with.

I do think Pop will give a chance to Anderson to redeem his performance from last game, specially since it's looking like J.Simms is going to be a rotation guy. My guess is that Pop will use games like this to give opportunities to others. Not sure how Pop will work him in, but it won't matter if it is a blowout.
It will be an interesting game despite Pop sitting the stars for sure.
I don't think LMA need rest. Heck, he actually needs to work off all that fat he ac ulated in the summer.
