spurs in order of their impact on winning this year:
kawhi
manu
tim
patty/bobo
parker/adridge
west
danny
----------
simmons/anderson
boban
the rest
0/10
Op has some good takes in some previous posts, but honestly, the bias is ridiculous.
Here are the actual numbers using ESPN's real plus minus.
Leonard - 9.9
Duncan - 5.38
Ginobili - 3.43
Boban - 2.26
West - 1.84
Mills - 1.65
Diaw - 1.3
Parker - 0.86
Bonner - 0.57
Aldridge - 0.49
Anderson - 0.42
Simmons - -0.25
Butler - -1.40
Green - -1.44
McCallum - -2.43
This is just overall RPM and not defensive and offensive. In terms of relative impact on the court, it looks intuitively accurate with the exception of players that rarely play, i.e. Bonner, Butler.
What stands out is how low LMA is in the ranking.
Based on expectations and overall performance I'd say
Kawhi
Manu
Boris
Tim
LMA
Tony
Patty
Boban
Simmons
West
Green
Anderson
McCallum
Bonne and Butler have barely played
Without crying or dodging my question, do you ever ing leave ST?
LMA is doing a lot more heavy lifting than most on here are giving him credit for. Also, Parker is playing the role asked of him very well. Therefore, I'd say:
Kawhi
LMA
Timmy
Tony
Manu
Boris
Danny
West
Patty
Simmons
Boban
Anderson
Bonner
Ray
Butler
That's productive
Leonard
LMA
Manu
Boris
Tim
Tony
Boban
Simmons
West
Mills
Green
Anderson, Bonner, Butler and McCallum can all go. I don't give a if Anderson can make a basket when the team is up by 30.
I would go with this list.
Pretty much anyone not putting lma top 3, is a troll. Trying to catch casuals who don't follow defense.
I go k, lma, D, bb, m, p, then the rest dont matter. You don't rank role players.
For anyone who isn't playing often or is not very much of a rotation player (like Boban), suggesting that they should be ranked anywhere above any of the normal rotation players makes no sense.
Sometimes folks on here just don't pay attention to what contribution a player is making based on the system role he is assigned. The Spurs' system asks so much that is different than other teams ask of their players that the total contributions can't always be valued according to league metrics.
This one also looks like a list of importance in terms of roles.
Minor issue, but I'd put Ray above Bonner. Ray has seen some minutes in games outside of garbage time. Nothing flashy, but Milwaukee, Lakers, Utah games he was able to give Tony rest with that hip soreness or whatever he had. Bonner is strict garbage time, locker room good spirit vibe guy. Important for the young guys specially, but Ray having some good games was important to rest Tony.
Yes.
Without crying or dodging, why are you so interested in me and what I do with my time?
Personal bias list.
Hard to say if comedic angle was intended or accidental.
Oh well:
Just another player fan thread.
I notice that you're always here, that's all. Are you going to throw yourself a 100k post party?
Well, you're wrong. It's a pattern with you.I'm sure you will, seeing as you are so interested in my activities and post count. Are you going to throw yourself a 100k post party?
Do yourself a favor. Give up.
Early congrats on 100k posts on a forum you imply you don't live on. Clearly you're never here.![]()
LMA has been putting up like 18/9 with great defense. Hes number 2.
It wasn't an implication. I stated it plainly. You really don't understand much at all.I never said that.Clearly you're never here.![]()
But thanks for paying so much attention to me. Maybe someday you'll be known for something on this board other than butthurt.
Whining about me isn't the way to do that.
Chump your got yourself a secretive admirer ❤️😱
He's not keeping it much of a secret tbh.
first place: kawhi Leonard!!!
2nd: who cares?
last place: parker
Only vanilla mainstream player fans will disagree.
You are always on point.![]()
