You just figured that out?old news, tbh..

If he is judging based on close results between Thunder & Dubs, he might as well include Bucks, Mav, Pistons & Nuggets.
Gentry is lucky he isn't fired by now because Monty did a of a lot better last year than he has done this season. Their defense hasn't improved and their offense is still struggling.
Anyways, Gentry doesn't like the Spurs. Amin hinted this a long time ago on NBA lockdown. They are close friends from his Suns days and they believe the Spurs cheated going to the Finals.
Of course he says this after the Spurs got beatdown by the Warriors and Cavs in one week a lot of writers came out and said the Spurs weren't a threat to the Warriors anymore. OKC's defense is middle of the road and their bench is one of the worst in the league. It will only be magnified in the playoffs. Sure OKC is a challenge but they won't be able to beat the dubs in a 7-game series.
Spurs would struggle mightily to push GS to 6 games.
Spurs are easy to stop with an overrated defense, everybody know that spurs is not a match for the dubs...
This guys is a Lakers troll but he's going to troll this forum to death. Some mod needs to erase his troll threads and put them in the NBA forum.
How 'bout we wait and see what happens?
Until then, everything else is akin to old women gossiping.
If you think about it, Monty Williams wife would still be alive if NO didnt fire him for this dumb Alvin Gentry
Gentry sucks. I would not take his word for it.
Gentry with true bomb... Spurs fans here still bitter from the sweep Gentry gave them with Phoenix...
Let other nba fans, coaches and media have their hype.
3 things.
No Tim Duncan.
27 or whatever turnovers.
Best D in the league. That last quarter against the magic comeback win. Lockdown defense when it was needed the most.
It will be fun to prove Gentry wrong.
As far as the regular season, the game next month against the Dubs will be most telling. The games in April with the playoffs coming soon and the standings possibly set are likely to have players resting or coaches unwilling to show their cards.
Cia pop..directing a competing coach to on the spurs to keep la Marcus and Tony motivated. Pop knows he has the most fragile egos in the western conference.
If we really think about it, i think you have a point, fella. Monty wouldn't be all and end all of coaches, but he sure took that limited team to the play off in the compe ive western conference of last season. Life is not fair, but at least give him another season to further prove his a en before assessing any other alternatives.
lol NO for even fireing Monty for this idiot.
Grant Hill just said on NBA TV now, during the Rising stars practice, that the Thunder can beat the spurs in the playoffs. He said teams don't have an answer for KD and WB.
The Spurs have historically the bed on other contenders' courts during the regular season. I remember when playing at OKC in the reg season was a sure blowout loss. I was actually surprised the Spurs led most of the way against them opening night this year.
That's why I don't consider the Warriors to be on a different level despite the blowout loss at Oracle. If they beat the Spurs by 30 at the AT&T then I'll be worried tbh.
Of course they can beat the Spurs
I'm not afraid of them due to their defense and number of ty rotation players, but they have the 2nd best player in the NBA and another guy that is 4th or 5th..that can't be ignored, especially if Ibaka positively regresses..
Should be a compe ive battle. I'd bet on the Spurs if Tim and Manu can play.
