God damn don't get me started on Yoda's fighting. He (and Palpatine for that matter) jumping off walls and was so ing dumb. Here you have presumably the two most powerful force users in the galaxy (both old as ) and they're having an acrobatics compe ion.
But do people really want lightsaber fights to be like this? Real sword fights aren't like fencing. It would be a bunch of unexciting one-hitters. And if you somehow took out that insta-kill nature of lightsabers (which would be ridiculous), this is what real non-lethal, non-crippling sword fighting looks like:
Personally think lightsabers are lame AF, though, considering all the other powers Jedi have.
I liked the older fights because it was more about the force struggle with the saber being that extension, not who can who do the Mambo while holding the light saber.
I think the is a way to do it flashy tastefully and within the reason, but the prequels were way off.
I don't get how they have the technology to create a lightsabre and laser guns but they don't combine them into the same weapon. So you have a light sabre that also shoots lasers. Maybe have it where the laser shoots at a lower angle than the sabre so if someone blocks your sabre, the laser hits them right in the gut.

If I was able to transport to their time, I would rule like a Level 10 Boss. One of the first things I'd do is build Laser Shoes where you could shoot a laser beam out of the toe. So if you ever got involved in a saber fight, you'd just tie them up high with the sword and then blast the out of them with the laser shoe. It would pretty much be the modern version of the Crane.

They found someone as ugly as Carrie Fisher to reprise the role of "Man-Looking Princess", I see. Kudos. I bet Del Toro acts circles around that dust pile that is Carrie Fisher's remains.
