It's passed Lubbock as well.
The front is that green windshift line burried in the ground clutter south of Lubbock.
Here it is from just north of WF to Guthrie.
I love winter too!! I can't wait..God I hope this thing makes it here I am going to an outside concert on Saturday, and don't want to roast!![]()
Maybe I can wear my cute new jacket tomorrow!
I will have my a/c off and the windows open tomorrow! Yay!
Yea I want to see some snow this year.. gonna try to make it to Ruiodoso NMX.
It'll still be in the 80s tomorrow!
Sounds like jacket weather to me!!![]()
Good day to drive around burning some sweet saudi juice with the top down...
At WF, TX where the front just passed...
If we had a bit more moisture in the air...we might get some good rain out of this. But it looks pretty dry out there. Maybe the front can scare up some showers somehow.

99 degrees in Wichita Falls was probably about a 20 degree temperature shift.![]()
I think it's gonna go boom.. not just the little bit of humidity. but like just pent up anger in the soil, rocks and trees from being so toasty...
But yea not enough juice for a prolonged rain event.
The colder air takes a while to get there. The primary front is a windshift line. The winds shift in from the north and clear out any moisture. The cold air then filters down.
My favorite fronts are the ones that just blow in with straight up cold air. You're sitting around in 80 degree weather in October and then first gust of wind is strong, and within 30 minutes the tempature has dropped 20 degrees.
I'm ready for Fall. I'm not a big Winter fan, but Fall rules.
I used to be stupid and stand outside in thunderstorms...
Im too old for that now..
I'm about to leave work....is it cold outside yet?![]()
It's still in north Texas... will be another 10 hours or so..
Actually, if you look at that Lubbock image again, you'll see the leading edge of the cold air has just passed there. It's not too far behind the first front/windshift. They're both hauling ass to the south.
Well, Manny did tell me two weeks! Looks like he is spot on!
that is not true...we have a nice week of winter every year! There is no winter here.![]()
Yes, but I can open up the windows in the am and blow out six months indoor air!
