OAI's a mess. Who's on after 8pm now?
I like Prime Time, especially with Stacey, but you can really tell that The T-brothers, Democrats(?), really try to avoid political issues, that's too bad.
I was hoping you would tell me that Charlie Parker was going back to WOAI... please, anything to get him off Sports Radio in the morning...

I could not stand Jeff Bolton. If a dog sneezed on the south side, it was turned into something political.
I would much rather listen to the Thompsons.

Kiss! To Jeff Bolton, WOAI's 4 p.m. talk show host, for not being satisfied to stay put in his S.A. studio when there were so many more real-people stories in New Orleans. After sleeping only 10 hours in three days, he returned home Monday from the post-hurricane mission.
He started driving right after his show Friday. He got the OK to be embedded with the Treasury Department and National Guard. He said he witnessed "the craziest dichotomy." He saw law enforcement officers keep order by catching bad guys as well as performing rescues from the floodwaters. He said the main goal of the Treasury and National Guard was to retrieve money in the Federal Reserve before thieves could get to it.
I like the change.
Although Bolton was a damn nice guy.
Now If they just promote that damn guy that does the Sunday NFL Kickoff Show...
Clear Channel is destined to fail as long as Peter Burns has mic access.
That could explain things...If he took off on some mission that didn't make mgmt happy...
It's not a sports show anymore -- it hasn't been since it moved to WOAI. It's a catch all -- local info, entertainment, political, sports, etc show.The T. Brothers is a sports show is it not? So why would they talk politics?

My radio days are almost gone. I even stopped tunng in to the KTSA show,
These radio stations treat listeners like , They act like they are your friend they want you to buy the stuff from their sponsors and you tune in to support the show on a daily basis, and then BANG!, someone is not on the show anymore and they act like nothing happned,
They act like the listeners are morons, What do they think that we are just going to say Oh well I don't hear Mr Bolton on the radio today maybe he will be on next week ,
Look at Ruben The Bone Hernadez he was doing the KTSA show with chris Duel and then BANG! he does not show up for a week, Folks at CD's website have to beg for answers, Then Chris Dules makes a posts saying

I don't know how someone is that busy that they can't tell folks the first day thier co host is not going to be working with them anymore. That post took maybe 4 minutes to make , Don't get me wrong I like Chris Duel but He always would say he would never hide things from his listeners, The first day he did his radio show he let the listeners ask questions on Carl Wigglesworth, Why do radio stations treat you guys like sheep I will never know, all I know is now that I don't tune in I don't have to worry about that anymore.There have been inquiries here as to what happened to Ruben on the radio show.
I've been busier than usual with Hurricane Rita coverage, etc. and was unable to respond here sooner. Sorry it's taken me awhile.
Ruben is no longer with the show full time. He is currently pursuing other opportunities.
I am Ruben's biggest fan. He's an amazing talent and one of my best friends. I personally chose him to join me at KTSA in July 2004.
There is no doubt in my mind that Ruben will emerge on-air again and provide his creative, fun and thoughtful takes to his hometown. Many people in this community now know Ruben and his unique on-air persona.
I have asked Ruben to continue to be a contributor to the show and I hope he will do so. He is funny, fearless and insightful. I am so grateful for everything he brought to the show over the past 15 months.
Ruben is more than a friend to me, he is like a brother, and I wish him all the great success he deserves.

Ps: I may call in to some national shows when the Spurs choke this season just to stirr the pot, and I might call the Spurs after game show if Kori ever steps up to the plate and does a show,

The radio stations can at least say " so and so will not be with us this week for person reasons" , they can lie if they want, that is not the point, the point is they act like noting happened,
oh BTW since you know so much what was the reason for Jay Howard, jason penny, and chuck Booms, leaving?

you just don't treat your listeners like , and nothing any of you tree huggers say will change that,
Look, all I'm saying is that there are reasons that answers aren't given right off the bat, if at all. I'm not saying I know these reasons - I'm just saying that I'm sure they exist.
They don't want to do they dirty laundry in public.. but.. we want to watch the dirty laundry...
There are reasons that people get in trouble with the law every day, but does that stop the radio / tv stations from giving us the news that same day? Why don't those folks get the same respect?

Funny how other news stations will report anything bad as long as it's not about their station, case in point, The Jerry Grant (local news anchor) child porn report was on 2 of the 3 stations here in town I will give you one guess on which station did not do the report,
what about Body Solutions after all those radio DJs would swear to GOD how it worked for them, you would think one of them would man up and apologize to the listeners,
I highly doubt it had anything to do with legalities. I just mean that out of privacy to the person. And hours after whatever goes down, they're probably not going to go public to 38 states and 3 countries with it. It is what it is. It'll blow over.
Regardless, the Thompsons are drive-time, now. I understand their numbers were pretty good for PTSA. Hopefully it'll help the stations.
