Do the Spurs beat the Lakers in '03 with Draymond instead of Duncan?
Again you can't compare Kawhi to Draymond. Kawhi is the number 1 scoring option on the Spurs. I don't think Draymond could ever be even a number 2 option on a team. Hence he's a great role player but not a star. He doesn't have the ability to create his own offense. The Kawhi-Draymond comparison is terrible considering Kawhi can create his own offense and doesn't rely heavily off of other players to set him up to score unlike Draymond. Draymond gets all of his points from getting open shots which is generated by the multiple offensive threats on the court with him, along with getting garbage bucks such as put backs, broke plays, and cutters. His offensive game is the hallmark of a role player. Also he gets away with hacking on defense due to playing on the Warriors. Put him on a normal team and he would be easy to shut down and also would be racking up fouls on defense.

You're such a re ed got...
I'm not looking for the zing....so let's further qualify the arguement as you've so eloquently done...it's true Kobe didn't win a ring without Phil but he has like a .300 something win % without him as well and made the playoffs without him as well....in contrast BackDoor Theodore has a 0 % NBA win percentage without Pop and has played in the same system his entire career....
Further to my point....Kobe without Phil 2 gold medals....Theodore without Pop 1 Bronze medal and a I quit on my country cry baby routine....pretty ing pathetic.....
Duncan proved to be the ultimate system guy...of he can't play for Pop he quits...what a shame and disgrace to the country....
The real question should be do they best the Lakers if Kobe and Shaq aren't fueding?
there's no way kawhi doesnt win it, it wasn't even a contest this year. draymond is not in the conversation anyway..
Wow Ive never thought about that lmao
The only time weve seen Duncan without Pop was his failure in the Olympics with a bunch of other all-stars against foreign scrubs
Spur fan plays the system card with Draymond and ignores Pop having the best system the game has ever seen lmao scrubs into starters(Danny Green) decent players into stars(Leonard) and good players into hall of famers(Duncan)
Oh I can see a make-up award given ... but it actually is better if he doesnt win ... he will play harder to prove a point when it matters.
Kawhi shined against the Heatles winning his FMVP like the real deal, Gay Dragon was farting all around and did nothing more than having bad breath and an ugly face.
Really different players, one stepped up evolving to be a star and the other is a glorified role player riding the wave of success of Curry and Thompson to a less degree, getting away with traveling, moving screens ilegal defense and doing big guns taunts when he doesnt even have muscles (fat arms).
This is not about but.. but fans are saying... more about whats actually happening, fans can say Kwame was the best ever, is that relevant?
not sure why he is not called on the baby steps he takes ... the rest is just whining ...every team gets away with the rest.
Not whining, thats what he is doing and thats what Norris Cole, Chalmers Andersen and those others gots did with the Heatles and where are they now?
Nobody cares anyway Gay Mouth has been exposed avoiding shots and staying away from pressure depending on Curry and Klay.
No doubt homie....even the Argentinian players was clowning his ass after he brought home the Bronze medal ....![]()
Graeber: Duncan was on the pavement between two garbage cans, flat on his back. He looked like he was homeless. People had to step around him to pass. He didn't move for a long time. He ended up sitting against the wall between the waste cans, in the dark, with his hands covering his face. He was crying, I think.
He got his ass handed to him by LMA on offense by Kawhi on the other end when he couldn't hide behind Bogut's skirt.
If he has to guard Favors in the 1st rd (Bogut actually got the assignment b/c Favors destroyed him in the previous matchup), he is going to get his ass handed to him like when Nene pulverized DPOY Noah in the post.
Holy . Correct me if I'm wrong, but I can't think of a "glorified role player" in NBA history who averaged 13, 10 and 7 and was also a frontrunner for DPOY. He's an instrumental part of a team that won a championship and that's going to tie or beat the all-time wins record. Are Warriors fans (and Kobefans posing as Warriors fans) re ed for putting him on the Mount Rushmore of power forwards after 2 good seasons? Much like Spurs fans with Kawhi Leonard upstairs, yes. Doesn't mean he's not amazing at his job.
lmao ass handed to him? Aldridge scored 26 pts on 25 shots hahahaha
in the 2 games combined Aldridge scored 31 pts on 34 shots hahahaha
I love how Spurfan acts like the Olympics dont matter when it clearly mattered to their two greatest players ...
And those two same players ... were the star players on the two biggest Olympic losses since the great robbery of 1972 ...
In 88 The Admiral was the best player on the last group of amateur led players that represented the US in basketball. Team USA was so shamed by the loss so they formed the Dream Team to right the wrong*
(now to be fair David imho was the 3rd best athlete on the Dream team, he ran the floor like a 7 foot 1 Pippen ...and dominated when he played especially with such great passers like Magic, Stockton, Pippen etc.)
the other of course ...
The 2004 United States men's Olympic basketball team represented the United States at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece. The team was coached by Basketball Hall of Famer Larry Brown. The team was noted for being one of the most disappointing Olympic teams, losing three games against their opponents (the most ever lost by a USA Olympic basketball team) as well as the biggest loss in a game in their history. This would be the second time that Team USA would win the bronze medal, the other was in the 1988 Summer Olympics
The two greatest Spurs led the two biggest Team USA fails ... those are facts just like missing the playoffs. In fact Manu knew he had duncan and company beat:
“I saw their roster and I knew we would beat them,” Spurs guard and Argentinian national team member Manu Ginobili divulged to GQ
Also Bill simmons wasnt kind to Timmy and he loves him some Duncan:
Duncan: Not only the best player on the team, he also unveiled a phenomenal "Shaved head, extended fu manchu" this summer for some extra ooomph. Gives him that little extra edge. It's like he bought a Dennis Haysbert starter kit on eBay. Sadly, international rules (those collapsing zones) neutralize him a little bit -- he's reduced to rebounding, blocking shots and getting garbage points. And just for the record, he mailed in that Italy game so egregiously, Michael Olowokandi sent him a congratulatory telegram after the game. If you're afraid to get hurt, stay home.
Now we know of course hoops is a team sport. But everytime you post 48 point loss, or missed the playoffs in his prime ...kool has every right to point out the Olympics failings. At first I thought he was jut grasping at straws to protect Kobe ... buit the truth is it mattered. To Tim. Who cried.
He got his chest pushed in that Kerr decided to put Barnes on him just like he put Barnes on Z-Bo.
Draymond is a scared when he isn't hiding behind Bogut's skirt. He didn't want any part of Favors & BSPN is out there hyping up how he was guarding Gobert who has ZERO post moves.in the 2 games combined Aldridge scored 31 pts on 34 shots hahahaha![]()
Tim is from the VA, do you think he was shading tears that the Yankee anthem wasn't played at the Olympics? He was probably laughing inside when Amerikkka got embarrassed on a global stage.![]()
Dude has REFUSED to assimilate which is why he has always been an outsider ala Kareem. Admiral on the other hand is a patriotic uncle Tom who signed up to fight the white man's war so I'm pretty sure he had a nervous breakdown.
That logic doesn't work for Duncan, as he was already an all-star level player the moment he first set foot on an NBA court. He was one of the greatest rookies of all time, and that's a very good metric for a player's talent.
Kobe, on the other hand, needed a few years to reach all-star level. So did Kawhi. Duncan is on another level.
Disagree...when you start taking unleaded pipe up your ass it means your way beyond assimilation
What happen last year to the dubs in San Antonio. Kawhi wiped his ass with dubs all over the court. I'm trying to figure out when dubs will win in San Antonio. Green flips out in the locker room at OKC because Kerr told him to stop shooting. Yeah, I'm pretty sure u would never hear pop tell any star player in their prime to stop shooting on his team. That just tells u how bad green is on shooting the in ball. Just builds houses on those bricks.
