My mom always added cream of mushroom soup to that basic recipe.
cream of mushroom is pretty much good on anything that is cooked, it really is, even top ramen

The onion soup mix has es in it. If you do that there is no need to add anything. It full of flavor.
But if you are talking about right now then try Worchestire Sauce, some crushed up Chicken buillion or beef buillion.
Yeah, whatsthishere sauce makes it taste great.
