But according to every vet I've ever asked, it's really the bones of chicken legs that cause most of the problems with choking on the shards, etc. Chicken wings are a different compostion and normally fine for bigger dogs; they nearly eat them in one bite.

As for the constipation problem, I'd imagine you could give it a low dosage of metamucil like j-6 said and it'd probably work.

Your right. It's also better to feed the dogs bones from young chickens or ones that haven't been cooked first. But the larger bones in the wings are somewhat similar to the legs.
