The refs were surprisingly kind to the Spurs, tbh..I thought Memphis would get more calls in this series to make it more "fair", but I guess the refs just want to the series to be over quickly, as zosa said

The refs don't want to see the series over quickly. They get paid by the game. And getting the Spurs eliminated would get them more games than they would have gotten, tbh; yes, the NBA has a you rub my back, I'll rub your back system. But these refs know Memphis is a lost cause. They're not bothering to try to cheat in the hopes that they can lose by only single digits.

Z-bow is a dirty player and does not deserve any foul calls. Also his undersized post game does not work against a team with our size, and combined with declining skills makes for the ugly result we are seeing from him. The refs only gave him a few sympathy calls, at most 1-2 were probably legit fouls.

This is nothing new, once we started playing Splitter more (and now replaced with Aldridge), Z-bow could not do a damn thing against the Spurs. Did you really expect him to keep making those BS fadeway 3 PT and other long jumpers like he did in 2011?!?!

I thought we had a lot of calls on our side. I think they may be doing that during a series we'd win regardless, so they can screw us over against GSW and say it just evened out.

I like how the announcers whined about ZBo not getting FTAs in his last 5 games then tried to blame the Spurs getting ref help as the cause even though they only played the Spurs once and the Warriors twice in those 5. . . while SA is 28th in FTAs shot. So much ref help tbh, being at the bottom of the league in FTAs every season for over half a decade.
