true, scott is that big, old turd in front of the lakers mansion. without scott, i think we finally have a chance to sign demar de in rozan..
Scott was only there because Kobe liked him. No more Kobe, no more reason to have Scott.

Lakers should NOT be going that route. They need to tank for at least two more seasons.
I see what you did there.

If Fredo has a brain and is in anyway forward thinking, he should hire Blatt. As mentioned already, he did a of a job in Cleveland, but Lebron ultimately calls the shots there and axed Blatt in favor of his "boy" Lue.

He'll probably go after Mark Jackson, though

What? You end up maxing out Derozan and Whiteside, you end up on the mediocrity treadmill. Gotta build the right way.

Is there any reason to keep Kupchack when he has done such a horrible job building their roster since summer 2013?

Why exactly did they hire him besides to talk about the glory days of the 80s, let Kobe do whatever he wanted and ensured the lakers lost a lot of games and got high draft picks?

lakers fans roasted d'antoni and mike brown so the front office had to bring someone who has laker ties and was respected. b scott is a ty coach but he has bullet proof laker credentials and like bum said it also doesnt hurt he got kobe's ringing endorsement. this move was a no brainer for a team tanking for high picks, though i still think to this day, the firing of d'antoni was useless and he could've done the same job yet also bring excitement to this team, anyway...

still shocked they pulled the plug tbh. i thought they would give scott at least half a season after they used the poor fellas as a puppet for 2 years. now, this means they're really going all in for durant and may even possibly deal some of their assets for a quick rebuild.

Why would they? They knew he was a terrible coach and he was there strictly because he'd let Kobe shoot as many times as he wanted.

Yeah man, Blatt would a nice gamble. I'd take him over Walton or Messina, and certainly over Mark Jackson.
If the lakers hire Mark Jackson...

assuming the move was predisposed then it's a good move. but if the lakers are hastily swapping names with still no clear objective going forward then it's a ty deal. there is no quick fix anymore. it's going to be a process. don't go overboard with coach with championship pedigrees, yet...develop your assets, only trading them when a golden opportunity comes then slay it by bringing a coaching staff when the product is ready to go to the next level.
