    And never won a le.
Its true. The Spurs have been MUCH more successful than the Phoenix Suns.

But that doesnt mean the Spurs havent had humiliating defeats. Particularly the 2001 curb-stomping and losing to an 8th seed in 2009.

And the fact that they never even made back to the finals removes themselves from truly great teams of NBA lore. They were never dominant. Just waited around for dominant teams to fizzle out.

    It is what is it.

Spurs hold regular season, playoff, and finals records all with the same Coach and leader: Duncan. Never dominate?

I have the same number of rings as you:

    ZERO.
Are you saying I lost to an 8th seed?

.. <and some other unimportant and misleading like saying the Spurs never made it to the Finals 2 times in a row>.
    Let us proceed

Yeah, it tends to happen when you're in the playoffs for 2 straight decades

    2013 and 2014 Finals say o. Also, 5 rings in 3 different decades, .

8 was in 2011. U also seem unaware of the Finals in 13' and 14'. But I don't blame you. If my team was as ty as the Suns, I'd likely prefer to say blissfully ignorant as well.

Yes, the Spurs have been through many hardships and tragedies. All of the great teams have. That's what happens when you're constantly in the mix for deep playoff runs.

'01 and '09 aren't even close to the worst defeats from a Spurs fan perspective. And they lost to an 8 seed in '11, not '09.

And the fact that they never even made back to the finals removes themselves from truly great teams of NBA lore. They were never dominant. Just waited around for dominant teams to fizzle out.
The Spurs were dominant from '03-'07. Three les in five years, and they were essentially two plays/calls away from a five-peat. Not to mention they had a top 5 all-time player in his prime. Not dominant, go yourself. Get out of here with that .

Its actually only happened three times. And only twice since they switched to the 7 game format IIRC.

So why do Spurs fans mock Kobe for "missing the playoffs" but give Duncan a pass for losing to an 8th seed? The Lakers were bad teams in the years Kobe missed the playoffs...but at least Kobe was never humiliated by a far inferior team.

That's a pretty re ed take, even for you. Memphis got off to a horrible start to the season, but from January 1st, 2011 until the end of the season their record was 32-18. The Spurs was 33-17 in that time period, so they would have been pretty evenly matched if not for Ginobili breaking his arm.

Also, why did you throw a championship parade for a bunch of losers?

    They were a one seed.

They lost to an 8th seed.

    Deal with it.

Duncan: "We'll do it this time."
    Result: 5

Kobe: "I don't know, I might be sick in the head or crazy or thrown off or something like that because I still think we're going to win this series."
    Result: Swept

But he never lost to an 8th seed!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Kobe never lost a game 7 at home either.
