I don't think west was even close. Russ had to really over exaggerate his motions to the point it was laughable. West gave him enough space.
Do we know that?
2006 Pop said "Do not foul the shooter" then GNob went rouge.

To a fair ref, sure easy non call.
The point is we are talking ThundeRef, with the game on the line to boot. Nothing to be gained by a D stop.
West jumps towards Westchuck and their hand connects after the shot.
And as Spurtacular statedI also thought during the play as West went around Adams contact, why even bother?! It just gives ThundeRef a potential excuse.had Adams held that screen and sold contract, it could've been a four point play with Westbrook on the three and Adams on the FT.
We saw how badly ThundeRef f'd us in 2012. So we know what they are capable of.
If you don't trust the refs, you might risk some defensive three seconds or other BS call.
Like the old college call where the refs would force a team to stop playing zone and come out to defend the perimeter (failing to "force the action" I think they called it).
The key in that situation is not so much to pack it in, but rather to follow two simple rules --- (1) stay at least five feet from your man, (2) do not leave your feet (jump) -- or even raise your arms -- under any cir stances.
Are they still giving fines for flopping? If so, how could that possibly not qualify?
Yeah, I saw that. I was screaming "Run away" like Monty Python's Arthurian knights. It wasn't remotely a foul, but why even take the risk with a 4 point lead?
From the game thread
The .4 game is still too fresh. Manu's foul on Dirk. That had the makings of one of those epic losses, when it looked like an epic win was in the bag. I like West, but I was sick watching him get off his feet to guard a 3P shot there.
I dunno, West didn't even seem to be that close. You don't want to risk the foul but West should at least put some pressure out there. Westbrook just kicks out so he gets a sliver of contact. I don't think it was too big of a deal. Refs are not going to call that 10/10 times. Even if it's a real foul (Fisher's foul on Barry), there's a high chance they won't call it.
