Yeah it is, and when you lose to a Thunder team (possibly our worst matchup) on a couple of bull calls and bad bounces of the ball that doesnt make you overrated. The MAvs werent even close in that series. They got thoroughly dominated by an 8 seed. So you can go suck a tbh.
Elite team's were the Spurs kryptonite especially on the road (0-1 cleveland, 1-4 OKC, 0-1 LAC, 0-1 Toronto, 0-2 GSW) All of those games either featured the Spurs struggling to score, getting blown out or in some cases, both. Nobody was talking about how OKC was a bad matchup coming into the series. IIRC, most expected the Spurs win in 5 or 6. Spurs had chances to win games 2, 4 and 5 but failed because they didn't make enough plays down the stretch. And you want to turn around and blame the refs? Cry me a river!

I thought a week later would give more perspective. I guess not. Spurs played arguably the third best team in the second round and were a few crucial calls from a game 7 in SA. It's disappointing to lose, but if we had Portland, Miami, or Atlanta in the second round, we'd have advanced. Just bad luck that GS had an incredible season and thus an easy road and the east mostly sucks. I still think we are one of the 4 best teams and had a good shot at going all the way. Just luck went against the Spurs. Winning les requires being good and getting lucky.

What happened to Boris Diaw? He was key to beating the Thunder in '14.

Lol, you are such a got if you think they didnt get handed at least one game by the refs. And of those "road losses" only the Cleveland one and the playoff games to OKC are legit. The rest were either right at the start of the season or we didnt even field a full team. But hey dont let that stop you from using it as proof of why we were the worst team in the league disguised as a 67 win team. gtfo got

The league is watered down, that's why. Spurs weren't really a true 67 win team. Their record against the best of the best, elite contenders was terrible. This should have been an indicator before the playoffs started. Until they can beat OKC, Warriors, Clippers, Cavs then it will be a long time until they can contend. Their backcourt is weak, they need a center and a bench, just too many components missing for them to be a contender.

Agreed, pretty much every team was trash outside of OKC/SA/GS/CLE. The Clippers were solid but Blake Griffin ultimately killed that team with his slew of injuries.

What happened in 2015 and 2016? Did we ever get Aldridge? Did Tim retire after beating Miami? Did Miami win in 2014? Did Miami ever break up? Is Cleveland still a hole? So many unanswered questions.

how long have most of you guys been spurs fans? We only have 5 les. Have you guys always acted like this after a playoff loss or did a lot of you just become fans this season when we got Aldridge and West?

Exactly. The fans shouldn't overreact to this loss.

Tim was the best player of his generation, the best PF to ever play the game, he has played 19 seasons and won 5 les.

So I guess the Spurs were eliminated in 14 playoffs series in his Era and it was still the greatest Spurs Era.
