Problem is he could not put the ball on the floor or shoot. He has real hurdles offensively let's not kid ourselves. If ppl are complaining about Anderson lack of shooting and passiveness LJC would make them bonkers, what he does have is athleticism, size, defense. He should have been brought over to work closely on his shot, handles, post up and overall game. Let him go to the dleague same as they did with Anderson, Cojo to develop etc. I think Asvel didn't help him that much (he was injured too for a season, that didn't help either). I think they didn't bring him over bc he didn't make the improvements they expected but the guy is still developing.
I think that is a big task to ask a foreign club to inspire a player to work hard and develop his game. I always saw that as a huge flaw when it came to the developing of players and stashing them, they already had to have had some super talent level in order to be able to improve vastly. It would behoove the spurs to bring him over and basically have him shadow Kawhi in the amount of work that he puts in to be great. Whether its time in the gym getting stronger or working on his game fundamentals he would have the right kind of mentor/workout partner to improve. This would also help develop chemistry.

Diaw is gone. We couldn't afford a coaster this season. We can afford one even less next season. The writing is on the wall after his DNP in the decisive 6th game against OKC. He can go on permanent safari now.
He'd better be careful in those safaris. With his added weight, poachers may mistake him for a hippo.

Diaw must have indulged in too much French cuisine this season.

Shouldn't have resigned him after '14. All he wante was another contract and you saw the results. He was big when the team got 5, but should have told him to take his appe e elsewhere afterwards.

I think he was impacted a lot by The new roster: less minutes, playing more with KA and west.
But if you look closely his per 36 Numbers are similar in the 3 last years (slightly less shots, a little more assists and a better %)

As long as whoever replaces Diaw isn't going to pump fake at the 3 point line when nobody is withing 6 feet of him then I'll be okay. Can't believe that would happen on the regular.. ball swings to Diaw and nobody within 6-10 feet of him, pump fake anyway and drive into a terrible shot only to pass it again.

this is the problem, everything about him is about everything except basketball. It is like his side job is basketball and his primary job is eating fine foods and expressos.

I love Bobo but it's probably time for the Spurs to move on.

Ok I agree Boris needs to be traded but team trade for him is for cap relief only. How about Boris + pick for Marco and Omri Casspi? Sac must feel regret for paying so much to Macro and this trade helps both teams. Spurs get a 3pt shooting forward and an overpaid SG with some PG skills.

He doesn't sound like basketball is a priority to him. One of my favorite all time players. His DNP in game 6 had a lot to do with them murdering us when our bench played.

The Penguin looks like Green and is that Simmons at the bottom? My question is, WTF are they celebrating?

I guess they feel after 5, anything else is extra. I agree with that to an extent, but it also means it's time to bring in hungrier players.

Diaw was never a 5. He and West were simply outmuscled by OKC's 7' bruisers.
