Well, Kawhi has become a threat to score from anywhere on the court, you shouldn't waste the prime years of an MVP runner-up being the 3rd option behind two older guys.
For those who can't see Kawhi as an offensive player, just compare him to PG last regular season, or Harden's playoffs.
I would also add being more vocal on defense and trying to fill duncans leadership role in keeping everything clicking by commun8cating and making sure all players know their assignments, etc. He is the best defender in the league.

Came here to say this. He desperately needs to show more body language and get in the ear of the refs without drawing a T. His lackadaisical at ude last season cost him lots of points at the line. Not sure if this trait can be sharpened but I'd love to see it.
Not to settle... There were occasions where he would pull up to soon, fade away or force a shot over someone when he could have been more patient with the ball and created a better shot.. I think it goes hand and hand with the handles..
- With Pau in the team, he needs to work on his Pick and Roll game. Duncan barely got roll calls last year and when he did get calls it was painfully obvious they didnt respect his roll enough so the result was a double. Pau would be a different story..
- Needs to work the officials. He can't let Timmy work the officials for him. That's embarrasing. Work the officials on your own.
- Needs to work with Kobe or someone selfish. He needs to be selfish. There's a reason why Pop wants him to workout with Kobe. He needs more selfishness in him. It's his team.
- He can't stay satisfied. Noticed he start being passive after a good quarter or something.
- Needs to start being a real Pro and start speaking up against Coach Pop. Timmy was a great player to coach but even from the start of his career..he was a real pro. He stood up for what he wanted to happen in the court in a proffesional manner.
- Really needs to build an ego to counter Pop. Pop has been ing up the team the last two years because Timmy has lost his game and in the process lost his ability to counter Popvich egotistical approach. That old man needs to realize the game is not about himself.
To me Kawhi was pretty great already. Perhaps leadership is an area to improve.
It wasn't even needed with the big 3, but now, not only is it his team, he's getting younger teammates who look up to him.
In general I think he will be great and have a great season. I hope he inspires others around him to be great too and rise to the occasion when the going gets tough.
I think others have said this in some form or fashion, but it would be great if he improved how he finishes his drives. He still sometimes looks awkward when he drives and stops, and you can tell he's thinking "Oh , now what?"
If he can figure out the "now what?" part, he'll be a beast.
I guess you could sum it up by simply saying: Be a leader.
This means you not only have control of the team, but of yourself as well. There were many times where he and/or others wouldnt be doing what they needed to be doing. There are times where a player would become passive where he needed to be aggressive, some one would be playing out of character and needed to be reset or the team chemistry as a whole is off.
This seems like a it should be an individual or a coach thing, but sometimes it just needs to come from a floor general.
I would also like to see him become more dominant. He doesnt have to do it every night, but when he has too. Not just points, but take over the game anyway possible.

Because Leonard is expected to play D and rebound, I think he ran out of gas in the series against OKC so I whatever offense he provides should come easier to him than it did last year. Maybe be even better on the 3 pointer and learn how to drive, or drive and dish off of it, maybe learn a floater. Learn how to recognize mismatches and post them up. TD could help in this area because hes such a cerebral player that was also a two way player. TD could play hero ball but alot of the time it was all about taking advantage of situations to his favor.
A lot of the comments on improvement were on the mark, but I think they all were connected to the mental part of the game. He tends to try to force his way on drives, even when 2 or 3 defenders are there. That results in some turnovers that are from dribbling/handling the ball--but the real problem began before he tried to force his way in to a crowed lane. That was a mental decision and once made, he failed to see any other option.
He's getting better with decision making, but he may be forcing the issue sometimes because he feels the pressure to lead the team and score a lot.
Without Timmy directing the D, it is imperative that Kawhi, the league's best defender take over as the defensive general.

those losers in golden hate picked up a scorer but lost a screener. he is to weak to give a really hard, moving illegal screens like the rest of farriers.
BBIQ is first. Second is the ability to drive and finish WHEN IT MATTERS. Third is use body more to draw contact. These all go together. If he had #1, then #2 and #3 would fall into line. To be a superstar he has to lead the team, when it matters, as the number 1 or number 2 option. He doesn't and hasn't done that.
He needs to develop a pull up 3 pointer. We have Danny green to hit open set shots. Having someone in the starting line up that can run the court in transition and hit pull up 3's off the dribble to demoralize the other team would be a huge benefit to the team.
Don't ask me why Kawhi should wait when he looks ready to take that step. Askwhy.

Yep I want Kawhi to demand touches, stop being passive and letting Softdridge and Porky shoot us out of the game.

Agree. But with Parker and Manu still on the team, running/calling plays, talking during timeouts, it will be hard for Kawhi or any other young player to become a vocal leader on this team.
