Shabazz is actually the worst of those 3.
It'dbe even worse if Pek was out there. Can anyone actually play D there apart from Dieng? Even Rubio seems to be falling away

MVP: Giannis Antetokounmpo - Right now, the Greek Freak has more points per game than Melo or Paul George, as many rebounds per game as Blake, more assists per game than Curry and Conley, as many steals per game as Kawhi, and more blocks per game than Ibaka and DeContract. His BPM is an eyepopping +9.6, and he's top ten in PER. He's only 21 years old and he's already doing it all at a high level. And he's carrying an awful Bucks team missing its second-best player (Middleton) to respectability. Anyone who isn't watching this kid play whenever they get the chance is missing out.

DPOY: Joel Embiid - The Sixers (the Sixers!) have the best defense in the NBA by a mile when Embiid is on the floor:

COTY: Fred Hoiberg - Despite one of the Bulls' stars (Jimmy Butler) hating him, the other one (Wade) being old and washed-up, and his front office saddling him with cancers like Rondo and Michael Carter-Williams, they're still third in their conference. At times, their offense moves the ball like the Spurs of old, which shouldn't be happening on a team with so many chuckers and cancers.

MIP: Kemba Walker - After years of chucking and bricking, he can actually shoot from deep now (42% from three so far this year, compared to 34% for his career). And while it might be a fluke, he did previously improve from a 30% three-point shooter in 2014-15 to 37% last year. He's still not turning it over as much as he did in his first few seasons and he's better at getting his shots within the flow of the offense.

ROY: Joel Embiid, again - Even on a strict minutes restriction, he's still leading all rookies in PPG, RPG and BPG. On a side note, LOL at Lakerfans who spent all offseason sucking Brandon Ingram off. He doesn't even look better than Jamal Murray so far, let alone being "the next Durant."

6MOTY: Eric Gordon - Somehow, Crnerstne is actually relevant in 2016, averaging 16.5 points per game off the bench. I actually think Jon Leuer is the best sixth man so far due to his defense and all-around contributions off the bench at PF and C, but we all know Sixth Man is really the Chucker of the Year Award. All anyone looks at when voting for it is points per game.

Most Surprising Teams: Rockets, Bulls, Hornets

Most Disappointing Teams: Timberwolves, Hawks, Pacers

Worst Offseason Moves: Clippers (Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers); Blazers (pretty much everything, but especially giving $70 million to Evan Turner); Pelicans (Solomon Hill)

Best Offseason Moves: Rockets (Anderson and Gordon were solid pickups); Nets (Kenny Atkinson is an underrated good hire, and they somehow managed to get Sean Kilpatrick off the scrap heap); Lakers (going through chemo)

TOSB of the Year: Paul Pierce

Comeback of the Year: Wilson Chandler
good post, good takes, good stuff
