I was right in the middle of it back in the 60's (graduated in 68) and was around plenty of drugs and LSD.

to name a few. Everyone tallked about ...distortion. I went on about 6/7 trips between 67-70, yep...distortion. Distances, time, surfaces, smells, all distorted. While I knew that was a coke can, it didn't feel like one, it looked longer, brighter, heavy. It was like that with everything.
Only a fellow tripper knows about that trail. That is distortion.
Music never sounded better, it was as if I'd crawled up inside a gigantic speaker, I was the music.
Remember how heavy your legs felt, that was weird.
Me and some buddies went to the drive in to see Barbarella cooking, so there we sat when it was over we were lost in a drive in, hahahaha~~~~~~~ A guy who knew us from school bailed us out, he was a pot head.

Not to down play your experiences but i had gone on 6-7 trips every 2 weeks for damn near a yr back in like 98. Most were what you called distortion of reality but the last sky rocketed me beyond the stars.
I just feel, at that point, i got close to divinity. I know that sounds farfetched but whatever.

Wasn't there a shooting in the US a couple years ago that was brushed off by the media because it was too embarassing? Some White dude opened fired at a Sikh temple and killd some because he was angry with Muslims.

Why? because that's the fundamental difference between Islam and Christianity. Islam believes we are born innocent (Godly) and should aspire to remain that way. Redemption for our sins comes only through punishment.
Whereas Christianity believes we all inherit original sin and therefore we are sinners from the day we are born. Redemption for our sins comes only through forgiveness.
