    Manu: 14 mil 1 year

where that 14 mil could've been spent

    Waiters: 6 mil 2 years
    Jordan Clarkson: 50 mil 4 years(12.5/yr)
Courtney Lee: 50 mil 4 years
    Evan Fournier: 85 mil 5 years(17/yr)
    Aaron Afflalo: 25 mil 2 years (12.5/yr)
    Eric gordon: 53 mil 4 years (13.5/yr)
Brandon Jennings: 5 mil 1 year
Joe Johnson: 22 mil 2 years

    PATFO
That's some mid level trolling but turrible maths. How do you buy a 50m dollar contract with 14m? I see two options there, Waiters or Jennings. All else is well above 14m.

a four year 50m dollar contract would be paid out over, you guessed it, four years..at approximately 12.5m a year(assuming it's not loaded to the front or back end). So on a per year basis, Manu is making more than everyone on the list except Fournier by 2m.

iirc spurs were allowed to go over cap to sign Manu, i dont think they could've signed anyone on that list
Correct. IIRC, his cap hold was around $5.5 mil.

It doesn't matter what he's making, etc. That is irrelevant. What matters is the current level of play and role. That is what is a loss.

at ppl complaining about a 40yr old having poor efficiency numbers. The real problem is that Manu shouldn't have to do as much as he's asked to do.

In that case it was time to retire. If he's in the team gobbling up minutes it's just as fair to question his production as it is to question Tony... who one could say the same about...

It's on PATFO though for standing pat.

This is such a ty take. You should really contemplate suicide. You're not only an idiot, but a total disgrace to humanity. If you have a 2nd Amendment next to you, put it to your head and pull the ing trigger. Earth would be a better place. got.

I personally thought he should've retired as well. It pains me to watch the man struggle out there. But when Spurs resigned him, I'd assumed that it'd be for a minimal role at around 15min a night in reg season and up to 18 for playoffs. But since we don't have any obvious good options, we are stuck with watching Manu, Simms and KA taking turns to struggle out there.

You've had it with Turnobili since 2013, tbh..

    http://www.spurstalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=225672

No more of him late in games against good teams. You need aggressive, high percentage players in these situations and he no longer fits that description. Everything is some fancy, thread the needle pass, which either gets picked off or narrowly avoids it, or it's some awkward step back/forced looking three.

I presume the lack of aggression is because he's so conscious of attempting to avoid injury at all costs, but nonetheless, they can't have it. Parker forced the issue some in the second half, but he also killed himself to attempt to win this game and he's got a lot more recent mileage and responsibility than Ginobili. He needs help from Ginobili or he's once again going to wear down and suc b to some nagging injury at some point in the playoffs.

I later admitted that it was a one off thread born of mounting frustration from the '13 playoffs, where I essentially gave him a free pass and have ever since.

Despite my reputation, I actually rarely complain about individuals; especially those that have contributed so much to the franchise. My critiques are mostly aimed at the team and specifically whether they're good enough to win a championship.

People like you and that walking cliche are the worst kinds of posters because you contribute nothing of substance, but about those who do. On top of that, you try so damn hard to be funny, while failing so miserably, that it's pathetic.

So cliff jumping, wrist slitting, pillow biting, "Gutless Worms", "This team is done" etc are "substance"?

Classic example of not seeing the forest from the trees.

At not seeing the hypocrisy in constantly crying and whining about someone else supposedly doing so.
