Kawai trying to do too much offensively in the second half went away from what the spurs did well to exploit the rockets in the first half. Points in the paint & ball movement.

The playmaker role just doesnt suit him for now . Too much driving into crowds & traffic leading to TO's or contested shots.

Or driving into crowds and setting up the game winning shot with a deft pass.

Yes very fortunate . Those 7 turnovers for a guy who aint a primary ballhnadler almost gave the game away.

this was a game in which Popovich didn't around and try to experiment. When we went down by 13 late in the 4th, he would normally pull the plug, but he actually wanted to win. I was shocked he didn't throw in the towel early as he does a lot. Also, the same I keep saying after every game, "GASOL/ALDRIDGE COMBINATION ISN'T ING WORKING!!!!"

These write ups - game grades are better than the commentators observatins on the local tv shows.
I see a Grammy nomination in your future.

    Thanks for the grades!

Also I expected better from kawhi given the defensive struggles Houston have had, but i remain positive that he'll figure it out if we face the rockets in a series.
    He will.
He scored 34 points against them in the home game, it's not like he can't be dominat in this matchup.

But one thing we already know about him...he won't get the call in late-shots. He was fouled in almost the same play in two different games against Houston this season, refs opted to swallow the whistle.

On the other hand, Spurs don't win that game w/o Manu's efforts.
Thought this as well- especially when I re-watched the game.

Yes very fortunate . Those 7 turnovers for a guy who aint a primary ballhnadler almost gave the game away.
Yeah I get ya- 'live by the Manu die by the Manu.' His effort in this game was pretty intense nonetheless. His steal and final pass to Patty were vital to the win. Hope the team has the same verve with him out tonight and tomorrow.
