I hope they do make the playoffs. Carslile is a great coach. I can't think of any other coach that continually makes the playoffs with having to deal with so many new parts every year.

Yeah, Mavs are playing much better and Carlisle is the best coach in the NBA but that awful start prolly kills them. Gonna come down to the Pels/T-Pups who have far superior talent.

Well yeah it's stupid but he has an obligation to make the Mavs as compe ive as possible as long as Dirk is around. Dirk said he doesn't want to be on the team if they decide to tank. Similar to the Kobe situation. Dirk doesn't have that up and coming superstar so he still needs to be out there playing heavy minutes while the team remains a dumpster fire.
