Spurs had higher expectations for him than the Cavs did. With the Spurs he was expected to make the big 3 into the big 4. He wasn't suitable for that type of role. On the Cavs he's a solid bench player and is not overplayed. They utilize him the right way.
I dare say that RJ was not interested in that kind of role when he joined the Spurs in 2009.
