Kawhi is playing great, bust still a role player

I'm a huge fan of both players and have been since they each entered the league. Kawhi is a great player, but Giannis is a freak of nature. He might literally be the next LeBron. At age 22, he's currently top 20 in points, rebounds, and assists per game, 6th in the league in steals per game, and 7th in blocks per game. The only thing he can't do yet is make threes.

Greek Freak is amazing and can do many things Kawhi can't - they are different players. I would not say he is better than Kawhi though. Let's see him make an impact on a playoff team first. Kawhi is a 2x DPOY and Finals MVP - we know he's a legit anchor on a le team even in the West.

You crap all over TP and other Spurs as well so don't act like Kawhi is getting dragged there by his team either.

I love me some GA too but he isn't in the same league as Kiwi yet, much less the better player.

I do think with some more experience and internal improvements, the Giannis/Parker/Middleton trio will be primed for deep playoff runs and maybe even rings when LeBron declines. They also need a better coach (Kidd is a joke) and they need to dump dead weight like Plumlee and Monroe.

Maybe. It's possible. Really depends on Jabari's ceiling (will he actually be a 3PT shooter and defender?). But while Lebron may be hindering a chance at a le, nothing should be stopping them from being a playoff team in the East.

But that is kind of my point in pumping the breaks on calling TGF better than Kawhi. Spurs were still a good team the years before they got Kawhi but they were slumping (in their own expectations). They land Kawhi and immediately go back to the finals multiple times (including a win) and then he wins DPOY 2x and is still leading a team minus Duncan to an elite record so far.

This is with declining TP, Manu and now no Tim. SA has many good players still obviously so it's not just Kawhi at all, but TGF still is not even a playoff team in the East.

Hes untradeable in the sense of being the franchise player and franchise players don't get traded unless their team is massively under achieving or that player is being a cancer in the lockerroom. Kiwi is neither so there is absolutely no chance he's traded.

What do you mean less? He is fools gold and a product of the system at best. I love his defensive energy and we need him on a championship team, but a real star is something that could be vital. Parsons will probably be bought out by the grizzlies and will be a serviceable replacement.
