The old mans cooked
He was open with his man trailing the play behind him... a tougher pass than that Kyle made on an inbound play against the Hawks...it was a perfectly possible and regular pass that's made in many situations not just out of time out... Manu wanted the 3 pt shot that he took off Pau's pass... had Tony done that you know guys would be all over it but bc it's Manu... no problem right... and I am not criticizing Manu in general but he did shoot a terrible shot off Kawhi pass 2 games ago and he looked Kawhi off on that play..!
Manu probably wanted to go according to Pops call. That's fine Kyle made a tougher pass against the Hawks. Different team/scenario which makes it moot point. Surely you've seen the tough passes Manu has made and is capable of
And had Tony made the game winning shot, people would've complained. You won't get lots of rational criticizing here, which is why I think it's irrational trying to blame Manu lol. It ignores everything else he did. We likely aren't winning even if Kawhi gets the ball. He was missing FTs short too. Tells you his legs weren't all there. #al ude
Then you're a
Pops brains have officially turned to mush. He should be in display at the smithsonian as a mummy instead of coaching an nba team
"a loss" as in 1? It's not that we're losing, it's HOW we're losing and no adjustments are being made. I can deal with loss. I've dealt with hundreds of them for years. But Popopich is almost 70s years old. He just coaches like his memory is gone or he's just there collecting a check. It's one of the 2 or both. A lot of guys here are player fans. Tim Duncan is my favorite player of all time. i have followed him since Wake Forrest when he was a 2nd option to Randolph Childress. I have vhs tapes to prove it. Followed him when Camby destroyed him on the big stage during his junior season. Even though he's my favorite of all time, I was glad he retired because he was a s of his former self. Same with Bernard Hopkins. He's also my favorite fighter of all time but I wanted him to retire 2 years ago. I just don't understand how fans of their favorite players want to see them coninue to play when they have very little left. It's silly. And Popovich falls under this too. It's a new basketball game in which damn near the whole league is shooting 3's. Team defense you taught 15 years ago aren't going to work today.
"There's a million planets discovered every day and children starving in Africa. This is just basketball."
I hope he doesn't think Parker has another 5-6 years tbh
I just told my wife to hide all our knives.![]()
Maybe it was just me projecting my own feelings, but in that interview after the side-of-the-backboard brick, Manu's facial expressions and body language seemed to show that he was realizing perhaps his time was VERY near the end.

It's been a great week for Texas sport teams!![]()
As pragmatic as Pop tends to be, he's sometimes given to hyperbole for the sake of popular sentiment.
Lol regular season.
Lol 2015.
Pop can't think Manu has 5-6 years in him. He's very likely just half joking trying to talk Manu up.
