I really wanted Charley Strong to have success. It didn't work out. One area that Herman destroys him in is his ability to talk to the media and convey his message. I hope he has similar recruiting success like what Strong had in his second and third year.

I missed this on Signing Day, but JUCO DT Larrell Murchison decided to stay home and ended up signing with North Carolina State.

There's really no way to say that he definitely played a role. The dude was a QC not an asst. coach at BU. To believe this, you would have to think that everyone from Briles,
his entire staff, including QC coaches had knowledge of and participated in covering up that mess. That's a stretch.

I have to rely on the fact that Herman has known him for so long and has trust that he was not aware of all that was going on in Waco. I also doubt that Herman is going to risk his own
reputation or credibility in the process of hiring a QC.

If any involvement from him does come to light in the future, I would expect his firing to follow in short order.

Why hire him in the first place? Just because he's your buddy? The whole thing is shady as . I don't give a what he coaches, he's got rape stank all over him. The grown ups should've said no, but our athletic department seems to lack those. Firing him for involvement later makes it look much, much worse.

Safe to say he'll be a priority for Herman and UT.
