Part of me wants to see Kawhi rest tonight, he's been playing 40+ minutes a game lately. The other part doesn't because I don't want him to cool down.

Go with the anti cooling down part!

I'd like to see him get his 30 in the first half, and then sit the rest of the night while the rest of the team finishes the blowout.

That's exactly what I want to see. Taking a friend from out of state to the game so I'm hope they get to see the Spurs semi intact...so there are selfish reasons!

I would have loved for Pop to put Kawhi/LMA under minutes restriction instead of outright DNP, but I can't go against it after a most grueling week with OKC/GSW coming up....

Gonna be a bit close, but the Spurs should win still. Outside WCS the Kings have zero rim protection nor do they have anyone for Kawhi to guard on the perimeter outside maybe Hield, but if he kills the Spurs tonight this team should be ashamed.

Wasn't me that posted that about the Mavs tbh. I've gone on record saying no matter who got the 8th seed would be a cakewalk for the Spurs if they managed to nab it (outside the Pels but they're not clicking like I thought they would so I doubt they make it).

I was just looking at the schedule, and this seems like one of three opportunities left where Pop could gamble with resting Kawhi down the stretch while still chasing the top seed...we have another game vs the Kings and Lakers, both at home on 2NB2B..
