the greatest era of basketball tbh, before this brand of castrated basketball.
1. man up ball
2. real superstars not a league with durbeta/cucky/westbrick/haren as the future
3. real rivalries (la, boston, philly, pistons) and real hate
4. proper rules to protect the integrity of the game instead of protecting weak 3p chuckers
5. great pretenders : dad killer, hakeem, ewing, k. malone
6. a game featuring its entire variety low post, high post, 3p, mid range, fastbreak, pnr, etc, instead of just horns->pnr->3
7. all star game meant something
8. players could express themselves not get tech'd for looking at the ref
9. none of this resting buffoonery.
10. the arenas had real atmosphere, not this fake clap/sound bull . nowadays we have a castrated public for a castrated game tbh.
tbh I was a big fan 15 years ago but the game just lost its integrity today. besides some particular series where there is bad blood the game is just too fake.
EDIT: and yes the game has more skill today but it is still a FAR inferior product.
