Pop complaining worked. Harden got one but the refs didn't call the last two fake shots.

And he looked like a clown for trying it without getting the whistle

Funnily enough when coaches cry and complain about calls they get them. There's always such high variance in officiating.

I expect the same from D'Antony after this game.

Not three pointers, but two bull calls early on for Frauden vs Danny.
1st one should have been a turnover to the Spurs.

Finally, one drawn by the Spurs. And Patty even got away with a dribble!

None of these tonight, but 3 horrible calls vs. Green and arguably the worst call of the playoffs on that Pau block

That shouldn't be the dilemma, though. You should be able to go over the screen without having the refs call a foul on you.
I thought the hallmark of a great screen is that the defender can't get over it without fouling. Or at least having to trail far behind the ball handler.

I don't think it's all that possible to completely block a person out with a non-moving screen. I mean, the offensive player gets over it, so the defensive player should be able to as well. No way can a screen close the door on that without the picker moving into the path, which is illegal. The guard is supposed to wait until the big is set to go, so both men should be able to navigate screens. Obviously, yeah, you aren't usually able to stay on the man's hip, which is why the usual trade-off of going over is giving up a driving lane. But it's not like legal screens should take you out of the play.

If the defender sucks, a legal screen can take them out for a critical half-second. Mills dies on screens all the time and Parker wasn't much better.

Green and Kawhi should be much better at going over because they have great lateral quickness, long arms, and top notch defensive instincts.
