I think he is what he is. McGee brings similar things, more athletic but he also is more of a bonehead. That turnover he had earlier was atrocious.

Meh, consistency is key here and he's had trouble with that all season. Can't overreact to one game.
Get rid of Gasoft and give some of that sweet chaching to The Juice.
Trade LMA for a kit kat and use some of that money for Simmons, and give him half the kit kat.

He seems to like it here. Only other place I could see going too is Houston, but I don't think they have the salary cap to pay him.

He won't take a discount and shouldn't. This is his one and only chance to make big money for him and his family. He'd be an idiot to not seize the opportunity
It's been pretty clear the type of player he can be over the last few games. An inconsistent role will cause inconsistent play. He's never gonna be an all star but he can definitely be a Danny Green type on defense with actual offensive ability

Spurs have a lot of "deadweight" they can make moves for him if they want him.
Can't judge him off of this series. Many years ago when the Spurs got swept by the Lakers in '01 Antonio Daniels was the second best player in that series. A year later he was complete crap against the Lakers.
Money is not everything when you're in a great environment. I'm not saying he's going to give up at least $5+ million a season. Danny Green could of gone a few places from I remember that would of paid him more when he was a free agent, but he was comfortable where he was at plus we are winning. If Spurs really want Simmons, they will work it out.
