No need to play him. He's done his job for this series.
At times like this I wish the Spurs weren't so classy and start a brawl. Beat curry like he was a piñata
No need to play him. He's done his job for this series.
Series MVP for the Warriors. And playoff MVP for that matter.
Even more pressure on LA to man-up or his ass is traded.
I figured this would be the case. Kawhi needed at least one full week's rest to significantly lessen the chances of re-injuring the ankle. If the Spurs win Game 3, we could see Kawhi back in Game 4 or 5. If not, he's done for the year.
If they lose game 3, it's impossible to come back. Why play him in game 4, rewarding GS with another home game, literally millions of dollars? yo clowns.
Couldn't have said it better myself.
I highly highly doubt we win game 3. They should just shut him off for the playoffs now.
I'm pissed b/c I honestly thought we could win this series, we match up and play them so well. Again the Warriors are the luckiest team by only facing 2 healthy teams in the playoffs and that was the Thunder/Cavs last year.
Man the NBA is so bad right now. Three years in a row of the same . Like why both? You win the conference in the East and get swept, lose by 50 or whatever. This series was going to be good, and the league needed it, but no. When LBJ retires who is the Golden child? GSW? Lonzo lavre lamelo whatever the f you call them all? This league needs a Kobe Bryant in the worst way.
We were a backdoor sweep in 2012 from 3 straight Spurs-Heat finals. I don't think anyone here would have minded.
I see your point. I don't know if Spurs would see it that way or not.
Tons of injuries the year they won, too.
NBA been BAD for many years, too many teams for the available talent, diluted players, coaches, GMs.
But the TV contracts keep getting obscenely huge.
With 10Ms of Americans cutting cable, will ESPN/TNT be able to keep paying $Bs to show NBA?
If Spurs lose game 3 tonight without Leonard, they should just sit him the rest of the playoffs. Down 0-3 to Warriors is a tough mountain to climb unless you have LeBron on your team. Now if the Spurs can win game 3 without Leonard that changes things.
Well they are going to have a really tough series vs the Cavs, assuming LeBron doesn't tear his ACL in game 3.
Indeed.
Per ESPN:
Game over, man, game over.Since Leonard departed Game 1 with 7:54 left in the third quarter, the Warriors have outscored the Spurs 194-133. In Leonard's absence, the team has shot 37 percent from the field, including 8-of-30 from 3-point range, while the Warriors are connecting on 57 percent of their shots, including 24-of-54 from deep.
