Injured my ass. He hangs on the basket, drops straight down half a foot and "bruises" his heel. Who the ever had that injury? Chicken shut was afraid to go on the floor in SA.

Just got back from the game... took a quick look at the post game period on the DVR to see if it captured something I saw at the game... to see if the analysts would discuss it. To my amazement not a peep about it.

Anybody else at the game capture the moment when Kawhi skipped the congratulatory hug with Zaza during the post game "good sportmanship" period..? it seemed like neither could see each other eye to eye. For Kawhi the expected anger. For Zaza seemingly the guilt. That alone was proof enough for me that the goon stepped under Kawhi with the intent to injure. And of course ESPN's cameras wanted no part of that incriminating evidence (cir stantial as it may be)...
So no one else noticed this?

I did... but what you gonna do? Spurs have been emasculated since Kevin Willis/Horry retired, tbh

David L and KL were at the game, was Tony?

I would have like to have seen Tony, even in a wheel chair, at Game4, wearing Manu's jersey.

I was there too and didn't see this. Thanks for posting. I'm glad Kawhi and Pop are not playing nice with that sonofa . Let GSW continue to pretend it was just a bad break. I wish someone would have put RC Durant or Curry on their ass, but I'm sure they had got their marching orders 'keep it clean.' Thanks again for saying!

I hadn't read this. At least Kawhi didn't. I'm glad Pop called him out and I thought the 'my family is being threatened' storyline was transparent. Perhaps Pop and he had a conversation beforehand. Fact was after that intention flagrant, our season was not looking good. I didn't see Pop hugging Zaza and was watching. I'll certainly take your word.

I hope not. Would be a horrible look on the Spurs fanbase and make the warriors look like victims. Let the warriors continue to be the villains. It'll be that much sweeter once the get their ass beat.

At one point Zaza gave Leonard his back... like I said, couldn't even get himself to look him in the eye...

Pop employed a pattern of shaking the Warrior player's hands, hugging them and then whispering something into their ears... I got the feeling that with Zaza it was just a "token" hug, but because he didn't say anything to him, I'm pretty sure Pop has no respect for him at all (he took the 'moral' high-ground by going through the motions and not letting himself get caught up with something as overt as NOT congratulating him). McGee then shielded my view, but it seemed like Pop had already moved on to someone else without saying a word to Zaza...

The Mavericks have long supported thuggish behavior (Juwan Howard taking out Derek Anderson, in 2001 / Jason Terry punching people in the testicles / Eddie Najera trying to take out Duncan's knees / Hollis trying to flatten Ginobili with a shot to the head on a dunk / Jose Barea elbowing Parker in the back of the head / Zaza trying to break Kawhi's arm) so your trollish comment is not surprising...

I think Kawhi originally thought it was just an accident. Also thought he would play in game 2 and game 3. So the anger at Zaza might have grown over time when he realized he wouldn't be able to help the Spurs.

Thanks....I'm sure Pop was congratulatory to them. He had already expressed his feelings about Zaza and his long history. It certainly worked taking out the opponent's best player.
