No need to read too much to it. The guy played better than last year. He wants to get paid. Other teams like former Spurs to rub to their other players. I can see Stan Van Gundy now salivating![]()

Joel Anthony has $23 Million in career NBA earnings. Twenty. Three. Million. ing. Dollars.
DeWayhe Dedmon wants to have $23 Million in career earnings, and this is his shot. Probably his only shot. I don't blame him one bit, if he can get it.
A lot of NBA centers - maybe most - take several years to develop. Dedmon is right at that cut-off point. If he's going to step up, it will be this next season. He's been around long enough, but hasn't gotten minutes. This year he got minutes, and was pretty much borderline. The Spurs could have invested in his future several years ago. I don't see how they can afford to now. If someone jumps up with a big contract, the Spurs have to pass.
I heard Dedmon had a falling out with Pop and the others, which led to his benching in the playoffs.
That came straight from Pop, and you know how he lies.
Really? Pop said that?
No, totally joking. I started to ask where you heard it, saw it was you, and decided not to bust your balls over it.
I could see it happening, considering how the playoffs played out. Doesn't mean it's true, but I could see it.
WTF! Dude you are moron to add Manu to that mix of dead weights! Manu played way better than those two dead weights!
Dedmon would really benefit if he played with CP3..
You mean he might have pulled a Stephen Jackson and Pop didn't think it was worth the trouble of immediately cutting him?
Dedmon has all the tools on paper but yeah, the Spurs can't afford to overpay for someone that inconsistent.
murray and him could develop chemistry
murray and lma could develop chemistry also
tp helped lma when he was on court. rarely was murray and lma on court same time
There isn't a better point guard in the league setting up athletic bigs then CP3..
Chandler and Jordan both have made tons of $$ because of Paul..
Chandler got his huge contract because he led Dallas to a le defensively. While he and Paul made a good tandum, Tyson was a DPoY and champion without Paul
I am good with bringing back boban.. he signed a big deal w/ Detroit and rarely got playin time.
It's surprising to me the Spurs couldn't find an offensive role for Dedmon. His shot is solid for a big man. He can take the alley oop if someone can throw it. He has no shortage of aggression so I'm not sure why they couldn't train him to set good screens. Maybe he just fouls too much and is too sloppy? Seems like the raw skills are there.
Here's why:
1) he's too "black" for Pop
2) he voted for Trump
Fine with me, rather have Splitter for the Vet Min.
Why do you think that was?
Nah dude. Paul made him relevant again in New Orleans...he was considered a bust in Chicago until Paul changed his career..
Hope he gets his payday even if with someone else.
I understand the league has changed but it's not like capella was scoring threat and he did fine with Houston.
Where did that info come from. I suspected something like that when he was virtually shut out of minutes, even when we needed some mobile big defender.
Good. Looking forward to seeing what we have with him.
Hopefully the Spurs draft another big this year too; Parsecnicks or Adebayo in particular.
