I bet based solely on my own experience with inductions. My second daughter was born alot faster than the first.. So based on my own unscientific calculations, I picked 12-1..Good luck Obi, and make sure you get something before they give you the epidural...That way it doesn't hurt when they stick that huge needle in your back. I learned that one with the second baby, and corrected that with the third(and last)baby
.
last time i never felt the needle in my back..... jsut the sweet sweet heaven it brought!
but i was in a load of pain at the time. So I may take your advice seeign as I will not be allowing myslef to go that long again!thanks
Oh my gosh....they stick a needle in your Back?! Ouch....
think of it as spinal novcaine.. they shut off all your pain receptors from mid-chest down.
it is the one medical advancement that deserves a nobel prize!!!!
A reallllly big one, but at the time you really don't care, as you want the pain to stop! But once you do get it, life is good. I swear I don't know how people did it before epidurals..My best friend had her daughter at home and tried to tell me it didn't hurt..Right i was there and heard her ass screaming and cussing her butt off

Me, too ... even with an epidural the second one wasn't slowed down too much with the epidural, he wasn't messing around.![]()
Yes...I had one at 8cm and non-stop contractions. Kind of nerve-wrecking when you have to be absolutely still so the anesthesiologist doesn't paralyze you with the needle while having that feeling that your guts are being ripped out in the most painful way possible.

YOU'RE PUTTING THAT NEEDLE WHERE?!?!?!?!?!
ok...hurry the up.![]()
obi's about to go into labor??? color me jealous!!!
![]()
It is funny to me how we say going into ( i.e. beginning) labor when a woman is about to deliver.
Personally, I think women should get full credit for laboring the whole nine months.![]()
and with this single statement you have become my new hero.
I hereby nominate Angel-Luv for president of the united states, to run on the commonsense ticket!![]()
I wonder if Obi is going to bet on herself![]()
Why not? When it comes to things like this, even she has no inside information.![]()
yeah, I'm betting on myself.
I just can't make up my mind which hour I want to bet and for how much.....
this is the hardest vBookie decision ever!![]()
btw - some people are betting that I'll be in labor 3x's longer then last time?
man thats bad mojo...
Believe me...labor pains are so intense that you won't even notice the needle.
With my first, as soon as I walked in the door I asked for one. The nurse was all, "Honey, we have to check you in first!"
My second was faster too. With #1, I went into labor around 5am and had him at 12:38. He would have been born a little earlier, but he turned. Son #2, I went into labor at 7ish am and had him at 10:25 am!
All my sister's kids were 3 weeks early. With her 2nd, by the time she got to the hospital, she was crowning. Poor thing ended up having natural childbirth with all three, they were that fast.
Awww Lil Obi is gona share my birthday!
aww crap.
I was too busy hemming and hawwing to actually make up my mind and place a bet.
. god I'm an idiot.

This was closed before I could bet on it.
That's OK. I've already staked naming rights on the outcome earlier in the Real women thread.
