Can't type anymore got to reach for the vomit bag. How do Gar and Pax still have jobs is beyond me. Not enough value for Butler, some ok players that's it Bulls got fleeced tonight. Directionless front office only accomplishment was 2011 ECF since MJ retired in 1998 because Drose was playing amazing MVP ball.

I know I'm in the minority on this, but I thought it was a no brainer for the Bulls to move Butler and a solid return too (outside of maybe sacrificing 16). Granted, it could easily blow up in their face given how unproven 2 of the 3 players are, but if LaVine and Dunn can become league average starters and Markanen can become either a starter or elite third big, that's pretty good. It's almost impossible to get a star for a star unless you get lucky with a pick.

Butler wanted to stay, but at 28 and with them not being in position to contend anytime soon, he probably would have had a change of heart in 2 years and trading him as an expiring at the '19 deadline wouldn't have reaped this return.

It's a good move by the Timberwolves too, but even if Rubio is replaced by an off ball PG, they'll still have fit issues on offense and might have chemistry issues too. Obviously, they're not done, but right now I don't see them as a playoff lock at all.

Good, now maybe they'll make the playoffs and Parker will have a chance to eliminate every team in the conference.

Damn T Wolves you could've had LMA for Zach Lavine by himself

    Yes. They could have.

Pretty sure nobody is coming to the Spurs saying, "Hey... what would it take to pry that Aldridge guy away from you."

I wouldn't overpay for Butler. I think Ainge was smart on this, assuming he's in on Porzingis or getting Blake and Hayward. I just don't believe in Butler at all.
Neither did RC. That's why he went with Cory Joseph instead.
