Of course! It'll take a few minutes for the laughter to settle down.
Phil Jackson probably asked for Kawhi and wasn't rejected immediately.

KL's ankle worse than the Spurs are saying.
Don't be surprised when Lavar gets a job at ESPN and FOX Sports![]()
Did someone say that they offered Kawhi? If so, who? Steven A. Smith?
Proposed by who? The Spurs or the Knicks?

He said in that clip the Spurs called Phil and said they were willing to trade kwahi and clean house but then backed off. What a moron.
Yeah, I didn't want to watch the clip. Phil would have ing said yes in a milli second before they backed off. Even if they did say that and it took a second to back off, Knicks would have said yes.
This has to be BS, no way would the Spurs trade Kawhi for anything the Knicks have to offer. If they did it was probably a joke at first and than they asked about Porzingis.
The Spurs did call about Porzingis - Kawhi was never offered.
Stephen A. is a .
RC not that stupid. Phil not that stupid to say "no."
I suppose if you're a conspiracy guy you could say Kawhi told them he wants the supermax, and the Spurs ownership doesn't want to pay it, so they'd rather have Porzingis on a rookie contract with all his upside. As KP is younger, they would also be better suited to"wait out" this Dubs team, than rebuilding with Kawhi taking 30% of the cap or whatever the supermax takes. And that is what we'll be doing as in the last 2 years we've lost TD and Boris (the good version), and we will lose Paker, Manu, Patty and LMA. Serious talent drain on this team, LMA is a major blow for a lot of reasons. So the Spurs "blow it up" narrative is something shock jocks like SAS can run with.
But I don't believe in such conspiracies. More likely Phil asked for Kawhi if anything at all.

Yeah, you know this didn't happen because Phil didn't instantly say "Yes." This is just SAS propping up the Knicks and his boy Jackson.
This brings up an interesting question. If the Spurs were looking to rebuild and Kawhi didn't want any part of it, do you think they would trade him to the best possible team/place he wants to go to, or would they look for the best package available to them for the rebuild. It would be very hard to make both parties happy in that kind of scenario/situation.
I would imagine in that scenario they might try to accommodate him within reason, but in the end RC is going to move him to whatever team gives the Spurs the best assets (however you define them).
Lmao
Stephen A. is not a Dolan fan and has been very critical of Phil Jackson lately. This could be BS to stir up Knick fan more than anything about us.
I call bull . Pop is extending his career for Kawhi alone. If RC traded Kawhi Pop would be done.
I agree. This is Screamin' Stephen's probable motivation.
Hmmmm... Interesting spin. We all hope not.
Probably Spurs wouldn't want to take Noah contact and give 2 1st rounders, so Phil Jackson simply hung out.
IF we were going to do that then Boston or Philly (most likely Bos) would be our trade partner.
