Didn't the Spurs have the option to trade for either Vince a year or two earlier than when they got RJ? I can't remember exactly, but I think it was mentioned on here or an Express News article. If they had the choice, they made a mistake, a big one.

No hindsight needed here. For years, no Spurs fans wanted to touch him or trade for him. Now, that the Spurs signed him, everybody loves the signing.

I understand that Gay is 10 years younger, but the guy is coming off of a devastating injury. I think at this point in time, I would choose VC over Gay simply because history has not been kind for these types of injuries. Who knows, maybe this might turn out to be a massive anti-jinx thread.
