I love this story
Kid is nowhere in 2014 (only geeks like me knowing about Coffeyville and JC track)
Then here comes 2015.
Runs both sprints faster than anyone who ever ran a Trojan season. Runs the 200m faster than any Canadian in history. Wins the NCAA, wins his country championship, wins the PanAm. Now off to the Worlds, there he ties for the bronze at 100m....he is 20 years old.
In 2016 he wins the Olympic 100m bronze, the Olympic 200m silver.....he is now 21. Only Canadian sprinter to win three Olympic medals in the same Olympics.
Now he's 22 and here comes another Worlds, and another shot to add more major medals to his collection.
What a great young sprinter this guy is.
Just think, if he never ran another race he would still be on the All Time USC list in both sprints and the Canadian All Time list in both sprints.
As of right now Percy Williams (all 126 pounds) is the greatest Canadian sprinter, his 1928 Olympic 100/200 double gold will do that.

After graduating from Milliken Mills in 2012, De Grasse attended Coffeyville Community College in Coffeyville, Kansas, from 2012 to 2014. Coffeyville, like other “junior” colleges, is well known for its athletic program, and is generally considered a track and field powerhouse. Many student athletes begin their careers at junior or community colleges and then transfer to major colleges. At Coffeyville, De Grasse won five National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) les, including two 200 m dash les and one 100 m le.
